IF: This is a really good indoor swing trainer for getting reps in pretty much anywhere, and with the molded grip it doesn't take much thought or explanation. I think it would be more effective though if it had a visual representation of a clubhead. Without a clear reference of face angle it's hard to tell if you'd be getting square (although you can feel it through the shaft bend), and it would be nice to have an idea of face angle in relation to swing path at different positions in the swing. Some version of a clubface would also make it easier to rehearse an actual setup and swing from an address position rather than just back and forth...muscle memory is great but won't do much good if it doesn't translate in a real world takeaway. One other easy improvement would be to add another inch or so to the butt of the grip...as it is now an average man's left hand sits on the very end which does not replicate the feel of a normal clubshaft where you have (and want) a half inch or so of space.

Daniel: The media could not be loaded.  Life got busy with young kids and I only golfed a handful of times over the past 5+ years.

Started golfing again and clearly was not at the level I left off. Developed swing and grip issues during my time away… just couldn’t get the right feel when gripping and swinging, something felt “off”. Also struggled with an open face at impact…

Upon picking up this thing for the first time, it instantly became obvious I had forgotten how to properly grip the club….

After 5 minutes of swinging this thing around, I was instantly back to a proper grip that immediately felt “right”, and my swing sequencing dramatically improved due to the weighted tip exaggerating all your movements so they are easier to break down!

Overall great to help fix grip issues, but I also got the SKLZ Gold Flex, and that thing was AMAZING to help with swing issues. Even better than this Grip and tempo trainer.

Hoosier Hayseed: This is pretty nifty.
I've never seen anything like the innovations that have come along in the sports world - and most especially, about golf - which is the sport I'm most familiar with, and certainly the most interested in. But there just seems to be no end to the new products that have appeared on the scene concerning golf, and it's amazing how one single sport, with a pretty obvious, and seemingly simple, action needed to accomplish it; namely swinging the club to hit the little white ball - is constantly being reworked and upgraded.
I was a little skeptical about this, because it wasn't too clear just how a shortened version of a golf club could replicate the swing, but that's what the hype said, so I thought, "Why not try it?".
But it does come very close to the feeling you get swinging an actual club, and that's what I was hoping it would do, because I really wanted something to be able to use indoors, in the cold winter months.
I'd been using a cut-off shaft with the grip on it, and that's fine for experimenting with the grip, and refining various and sundry moves in the swing, but it doesn't do anything at all for the feel of the swing.
