AndiAndi: I've been toying with getting something like this for a while and finally decided to spend the dosh. I'm glad i did as my road shoes have now taken on an extended use across more bikes! So how does it work? Its very simple, you simply fit in place of your three point cleats and bolt on your two point cleats. The photo's go through the stages required.
1 - the box contains 2x metal adapter, 2x plastic cover, 6x fixing bolts and 4x short cleat bolts plus the instructions of course!
2 - start by removing your 3 bolt cleats - these are my Specialised Road Defroster winter boots
3 - place metal adapter onto the shoe and fit lower 2 bolts ensuring top hole is lined up with the hole in the shoe
4 - place plastic cover over the adapter plate
5 - make sure its properly seated and fix in place with the third retaining bolt
6 - fit your 2 bolt cleat and align as normal. note: there isn't any fore/aft adjustment unless your 3 bolt set up has some
7 - the plastic cover has two shoulders which make walking more stable than 2 bolt systems usually are.

Wisco FamWisco Fam: This is a solid adapter to take a three hole road bike shoe to a 2 hole, SPD compliant shoe. Works well for those that don’t want to buy new shoes but don’t have SPD compatible cleats. Obviously does increase the float somewhat so just know that going in to it. Fairly easy to install with any knowledge of cleats.

Allerdings benötige ich für das Indoor-Cycling des Fitnessstudios SPD-Cleats, die mit 2 Löchern angebracht werden.
Um dies zu lösen, habe ich einen Clean Adapter gekauft (SM-SH41) der genau für diesen Zweck konstruiert ist. Alle notwendigen Schrauben liegen bereit. Die SPD-Cleats (z.B. SM-SH51) müssen allerdings dazu gekauft werden. Alles zusammen wirkt es sehr hochwertig.

Isaac: I switched from Road Cleat Shoes to SPD Mountain shoes so I could clip in on either side of the pedals and walk easier during breaks. My two perfectly good pairs of road shoes were unhappy at the bottom of my closet, and no one on eBay wanted them.
I tried a similar all metal product and almost broke my neck trying to clip out.
These are heavy duty plastic and allow me to smoothly clip in and out of my SPD mountain pedals.
Yes, I walk like a duck in them, but at least two pairs of shoes are not going to waste.
My only complaint is that I must carry the fitting allen key to make sure the cleats stay tight in the shoes.

Sarah L.: Easy to install on to my boyfriend's Peloton shoe! Seriously!! I honestly thought there was no way to convert the 3 hole to a 2 hole until I did some research and this product came to light!!!!! Thank goodness.. Here's the story- We bought a Peloton and found out the clip in cleats and shoes were way different that it came with. I own way too many Tiem shoes that I couldn't give them up becauce of how much money I spent. We ended up changing out the petals to SPD on the Peloton and the only thing I needed to do next was to change my boyfriend's Peloton shoe from a 3 hole to a 2 hole SPD. This product was awesome! It took a while to align it together without the outter grooves of the cleat hanging off the shoe. Product is very durable and does the job great!
