harryj280: When I saw that shimano still made a rear drag and fighting drag reel, I had to have one. Couldn't decide between the 1000 and 2500 sizes so I bought both. Works really well. Smooth reeling and drag. The biggest problem I have is that the line loops around the bail pickup roller housing. Wind knots have been minimal. I like the reel and will continue to use them.

I have been using this reel for sea shore lure fishing after my previous reel suffered from ‘wind knots’. I have not had this problem with this reel and has worked well with braided line.
The spool offers low casting resistance and I can achieve similar casting distances as with beach casting gear.
The reel has a smooth action and works well with light gear.

AaA: gira bene, dotato di 2 bobine, per chi come me preferisce la frizione posteriore, questo mulinello ha anche quella "da combattimento".
Mi è piaciuto il 3000... ho preso anche il 4000
