ASE: This isn’t a bad axe/tomahawk I wish I didn’t buy it because I have better hatchets but it is decent. I notice when I get in a solid strike there is a sound like something is loose but the screws are tight. The handle doesn’t provide a positive grip. It would probably benefit from some athletic tape on the lower part of the handle. It is sharp and seams to hold an edge well. If it’s your style it would be a good buy however the long handle small blade is not ver practical for bushcraft work.

CG: Perfect size for backpacking/camping. Hammer for tent pegs and such as well as a very sharp axe for all those other camping chores. I haven't had it out so don't know how well it holds up thus 4 not 5 star. Will update when get a chance to put it through its paces.

adam: This double headed axe or hatchet come very sharp and it is very sturdy. I bought it to practice throwing it, to which I dont recommend only because of the weight. The handle is so lightweight the axe is pretty top-heavy so using this axe as a throwing axe is probably not going to make you happy. Having said that, after throwing this axe at least 50 times from about 10-15ft at a tree and it not sticking once, it also didnt break, chip, snap or anything. The quality and craftsmanship and treamendous on this axe and at this price it's a steal. Buy now

Customer X:
This arrived super sharp right out of the box. It chops green or dry wood with ease - I had no problem clearing out dead limbs from my campsite. It has held its edge quite well.
Two cons to this axe though, are:
1. The sheath is difficult to get the tool in and out of. I ended up modifying mine.
2. I found the handle a bit too smooth where you grip it. I added textured tape wrap in order to prevent it from slipping from my hand.
All in all, this is still a really nice axe and well worth the price!

Greg WalterGreg Walter: I love this axe! I wanted something compact and easy to carry on the trail when day hiking or backpacking. Nothing too heavy but capable of real work and this is it. The axe came out of the box super sharp and ready to go, and the hammer head is just the right size. I also like the oval profile handle because it doesn't want to rotate in your hands like round handled tomahawks, and the grip cuts are in the right spots for full swings and short chops. The sheath is ok but the belt loop is too tight and you can't use the hammer without taking the cover off. I made this mod of the original sheath by cutting the hammer portion off and riveted a strap and belt loop. Allows you to use the excellent hammer with the most safety.

Amazon Customer:
Just got back from my first trip with this wonderful tool. Versatility is definately what makes this thing good. Hammer tent stakes, chop branches, shave bark. Whatever, this thing can handle it. I was skeptical about the handle due to similar styles breaking constantly, this thing took a beating and kept on hacking. Only complaint is the case for it. The hole the handle slides through is really tight, and if you do a paracord wrap like I did, it is almost useless. Managed to clip it shut upside down, but the beard point sticks out enough to snag on things.
TLDR;
Sharp, sturdy, wont break, light weight for backpacking, would buy again if I needed to.
