Shark Navigator Lift-Away Professional Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner - NV358

RSPRS: I loved this vacuum till the handle cracked now the handle falls off when I vacuum. It looks like several people had the same issue I now have. I purchased this vacuum July 2021 and it broke in a way that makes it almost unusable. I am so disappointed!

DO NOT BUY. This is a major design flaw and till it is fixed this vac is junk.

KarinaKarina: Originally purchased this vacuum in June, and upon arrival and assembly, I noticed a small crack in the extension wand (handle area) part. Through Amazon I returned this first one and received a replacement. Again, when putting it together I noticed the exact same issue. However by this point I decided to just keep the vacuum instead of going through the hassle of returning it for a third vacuum. MISTAKE. Within a couple of months the vacuum extension wand completely broke through, rendering the vacuum useless because it can no longer be pushed/pulled. I had activated the warranty through SharkNinja and when I contacted them about the issue, they said it would cost $29.95+tax+shipping for a replacement of the extension wand. Apparently, the warranty only covers issues related to the vacuum's engine. I would not purchase this vacuum again, and I will not be purchasing Shark vacuums in the future.

AlAl: Have been a relatively happy customer in the past. Had three of various similar Shark models for different places. Decided to get another one. It arrived with a nasty crack (first picture) in an otherwise undamaged box. Ordered a replacement, which arrived quickly, before I even sent the first one back... but it too has a similar crack in a similar place - second picture. In fact, I just found two more - third and fourth pictures.

LA: It was very easy to assemble. The only issue I had was that one of the smaller pieces was cracked and the deadline to return was one day after it arrived, so returning it did not appear to be an option. However, I contacted Shark direct and they sent the replacement piece. It cleaned my carpets very nicely but I was not really impressed on how it did on my non carpeted floors. Just didn't seem to pick up that well. It is very easy to empty and so far I have been satisfied.

Kristen: I was really on the fence about buying this and had checked reviews on all shark products and finally decided to pull the rip cord and buy it. Boy am I glad I did! This machine is a monster! Wonderful pick up and easy to use! The suction is so hard that I have to release some of the suction up by the handle to do my area rugs in the kitchen. I now have two Sharks and I love them both! Whoever designed these vacuums really took the time to add easy features that make using them a breeze! I generally use this vacuum on my large area rugs and my wall to wall carpet in the bedroom and I use my APEX on the hard floors and throw rugs. Both have excellent pick up power and versatility! I clean baseboards with ease now and this vacuum even picks up under the lip of my cabinets in my kitchen! No more bending over!! I am surprised at how much this vacuum has pulled out of my carpets! Any other vacuums are not really doing the job once you see what comes out after using this one! Thank you Shark for the thoughtful designs! Do no hesitate! Buy it! You will be happy.

Minnesotawoodsygirl!: I have been a loyal Dyson user for years. When my Dyson finally died it was time to find a new vacuum. However, I could not justify spending $400 on a vacuum (my last Dyson was a used purchase). I spent some time researching and reading reviews and settled on this Shark. I liked that this vacuum had many features that the Dyson and and some that it didn't. I had always wanted the hard floor attachment for the Dyson but could not justify spending $70 for one. I had been a cleaning lady in college and had been spoiled because my company used Dyson's and all the attachments. I have to say that the floor attachment for the Shark is pretty good not quite as much suction as the Dyson but at times u found the suction on the Dyson hard floor attachment a little too intense. I probably won't use the dust cloth on the floor attachment because with three dogs and a dirt yard it would be flithy in one use (although it is washable and I see it coming in handy for walls). I have mainly hard floors with area rugs and burbur carpet. This machine had super awesome suction!! I'm sure my Dyson has been losing suction over the years until it died.
