Amazon Customer: I was most impressed when thus lightweight machine picked up all the lab dog hair that collected on my carpet. No trace of anything left even after one pass. The only drawback is there are no attachments for other cleaning. Suction power is great. You won’t be disappointed.

Sasha: My last vacuum( Shark) just died and previous to that my big heavy purple (over priced) Dyson vacuum was not that great. My sister suggested Oreck and figured It could not be any worse that the Shark..To my surprise it was fantastic. Very Light (8lbs) weight just what I needed (arthritis) and recommend by arthritis foundation. It really picks up; and cleans very well.. This is a no frills vacuum. Mind you no extra bag of ( brushes etc) which I never used anyway with the two previous vacuum cleaners. . It is light weight and is very powerful. I highly recommend it. It has a long cord length, very easy to maneuver around furniture and under the bed. I should of bought this brand years ago and saved myself a lot of frustration and money. It does have bags but that is the only minor detail. I can get used to that again. It is a little loud but so what big deal if that bothers you et some ear plugs. It is very powerful watch the fringe on your oriental rugs. I suggest to give it a try you don't have anything to lose. I am glad I took a chance an purchased it.

Slay or Not?: Let me first say, When I started out to buy a quality vacuum I was already inclined to purchase an Oreck. My mother had one about 20 years ago. THAT ONE came with a lifetime guarantee and it was so easy to use. Well, to my delight, when I looked into finding the best vacuum, Orecks constantly came out on top. So why am I giving this vacuum a 2 star rating? THIS vacuum is not my mothers Oreck vacuum. It has been such a big disappoinment for me for several reasons:
1) it comes with an extension cord for use. No frills. Not cute. Just a big long generic orange cord. And for me, it made the purchase seem cheap. For 187.00 couldnt they have attached their own cord to the vacuum? Is this some kind of wonderful plus for commercial businesses? I dont know but I was not pleased. ( my mothers oreck had its own cord)
2. It doesnt have any clear way for you to wrap the cord onto the vacuum. You know how there is usually a groove of some sort where the cord neatly wraps away? Not here. We figured something out but there isnt any such feature the vacuum comes with..at least that I can see.
3. It doesnt get along walls , edges or curves. I thought the little brushes on the sides...
