Lisa J. Windschitl: If you’re going to buy a replacement for your Shark cordless buy a SHARK ion battery. One that actually says Shark on the back. You can buy a regular ion battery but it will lose it’s charge quickly and will be totally useless within a year. Some people say that if you use a Shark charger you will be okay but that’s crap. My first Shark battery did eventually wear out after 5-6 years but it kept a full charge that entire time. I was happy to buy a new one after all those years. I love my vacuum and it is still going strong.

Candace D. Fryrear: As I indicated above, it is too early to really evaluate this item. We use the sweeper to clean our house on a regular basis. The original battery life is getting less and less. It is about 5 years old. Like the sweeper.

GTI GUY: This works great in my Shark Rocket iOn vacuum, bought from CTC in Canada 5+ years ago.
No idea why they discontinued this vacuum as it works great and I still love it!

Mrs Lisa Leech: This has been a necessary purchase as the battery only lasts for 2 rooms in our house so just to do upstairs I need 2 batteries.
The shark is a great hoover but the batteries need to last longer

Jack: had to option to go with couple of other big names like dyson and etc.. however chose this over the price and performance. The suction power is amazing and the fact that we can extend the battery power with a simple battery pack purchases really made the cleaning much easier and simpler. Would recommend this to others as an upgrade as well.

Steve S: So glad I anticipated that I would need a second battery when I bought my Shark cordless vacuum cleaner. Even with only a two bedroom flat and a pet cat shedding hairs I regularly need two batteries when I vacuum or I'd have to wait for a recharge of the single one provided. Perhaps Shark should include a 'spare' with the vacuum cleaner when it's originally purchased?
