We don’t have pets but we have a big family - plenty of hair and dirt and crumbs. Most of my house is hardwood with rugs - so having no beater-brush carpet head was fine. In fact, it’s more convenient to have a flip switch on the floor head to change over instead of changing out the whole head. My youngest loves the way the wand can be short for the shorty, yet there’s plenty of extension for my tall teen too. Suction is very good, and as others said- it’s quiet!! I’ve vacuumed while on the phone! There’s a dial on the machine and a slide on the wand- customize your suction :) I flip the floor head over to clean off the hair balls before putting it away- so it definitely grabs the gunk. N.S.: I have to say this vacuum has good suction and is relatively quiet but overall not the best quality.

Since I got this vacuum end of last year, the hose hinge broke relatively early on (seems to be very common based on other reviews) and just recently the cable re-tractor broke.

This company is advertised as "German quality", but make make no mistake, it has not much to do with the German company. This product is manufactured in China and is distributed by some company called 'global america llc' which is also responsible for support in North America. My email for product support went unanswered.

I will likely bite the bullet and purchase a Miele - more expensive but will last for years and is very easy to fix.

pina lee: Great little vacuum for a not so bad price! We have tile and wood floors with very little carpeting throughout our home, so it the perfect size and power for us. I would of liked a longer power cord but it is a fairly decent length. It is very quiet and does a great job of sucking the crud out from the grooves of tile floors. Its small size makes it easy to store away in the linen turned utility closet. I would not say this vacuum makes me enjoy cleaning my home now but it definitely makes house chores more tolerable lol.
I would recommend this vacuum for those with mostly hard floor surfaces and short pile carpeting.

Jennifer: I clean houses for a living and I use this 5 to 6 hours a day 5 days a week this is a very affordable and well-designed vacuum the suction is amazing with options from minimum to maximum. Extremely quiet vacuum with max power. Love the vacuum bags that are very sturdy and don't blow out like the paper bags do. The attachments are great. The ONLYi alight downfall is the hose is not extremely flexible so it kinks at times but this is also true with the overpriced "Miele" brands. I would choose this vaccum hands down over any exoensive brand. Sturdy, lightweight and my favorite part, the adjustable telescoping wand means no more back pain for me,using vacuums that do not fit my height. Never thought I would be this excited about a vacuum but it has made my life and job so much easier and so affordable!

Taty: I was reluctant to buy because I did not know the brad. It was worth it! I do not have carpet at home, only low /medium piled area rugs, but I was able to clean my sofas very well. It tells me the suction is good for any kind of home.

If you are expecting the same kind of tools and size from an upright vacuum this is not for you. I am used to this kind of vacuums so I think it was a very good value.

Also, I like that it has a bag for the collected dirt. I don’t like bumping, shaking and sticking my hand inside the dirt disposal bins of other models.

REVIEW VERSION: I took 1 star out because there is a stiff curve on the top of the hose that makes it hard to reach some spaces, specially if you want to clean underneath you sofa or bed. It also makes it harder to use it as a duster (i like to use the little broom-like tool that comes with it to take the dust out of furniture).

I still think it was a good buy and would recommend it

Paul Poirier: Très bon produit. Très peu bruyant comparé à d'autres aspirateurs que j'ai possédés. La longueur du bras du balai est parfait pour les gens de grande taille. Je messure 5' 11". Et ajustable pour les plus petites tailles (Non testé). J'ai dû mettre plus d'argent pour pouvoir m'acheter un balai rotatif pour tapi actionné par aspiration car aucun balai rotatif n'est fourni, seulement un balai simple tapis-plancher.

Cleaning Fairy Grandma: So - I got the vacuum delivered yesterday. It is a German make - Severin. Way good price too. Got it off Amazon - I am a prime member. I love it! Who would think? But - after a year of using Gramps' - cheapo - crappy vacuum - i am in love with this thing! LOL.

First of all - it is quiet. The one Gramps had sounded like cats in heat on q quiet summer night!

And LOL - remember?: Nothing sucks like an Eletrolux? from failed ad campaigns? Well this one sucks more - totally sucks - LOL This means powerful cleaning! I believe the accurate term would be suction strength.

It has all the attachments I need and now I can get this place back in shape - with less physical effort! I am the only one that cleans here right now and given time, my age and physical exertion - this one does it for me! It all has all the attachments, light weight, retractable electric cord and much more. And even some kind of great filter for those with allergies - or anyone who has an issue with backlash out the back end of the machine! What I mean is - as far as I can tell this won't pollute the air in our place - exhaust is filtered.
