Nathan Mortenson: Little bit harder plastic than the original rubber. Hopefully this one will last longer than the original that dried out and started to crack. The only weak link in the elume's lights is this strap, the light itself is very durable and had be dropped several times and still holds a charge after 5 years. I would buy again.

John Winters: While it's working, it's brilliant. Easy to transfer from one bike to the other and readjust to the different handlebar diameter. However, I am on to my third handlebar mount for this Serfas headlight, and it has broken in the same place each time, right where the rubber encloses the sizing bar. Surely there is a way to reinforce the rubber enclosing the adjustable sizing bar to delay or prevent failure in this weak spot.
