Christopher Nelson: I recently purchased a safe box. A must have for keeping documents safe and secure. Great for storing items such as: passport, vehicle title, home deed and all other important paperwork. Also, better than a safe deposit box in a bank; you can access the box anytime whereas with a bank you're subject to the banking hours!

EH: I bought this for my 19 year son who is becoming an adult and needs to start keeping his valuable documents and things in a safe place, safe from fire and things. The space is good enough for a young person but it would be too small of a space for a couple with family. I have had one of this safe when I was young and it still in a very good condition, I still have it and I hope the quality of product is the same and it lasts like mine has lasts.

SHOPGIRL: it is very heavy; I can only image that is it fire/waterproof. I am not submerging it in water or setting it on fire to see if its good. I just know it is heavy and it must be able to do its job as heavy as it is.

Louise Sauvé: Ce coffret se range bien. Peut se fixer au sol. Fermeture à clé facile à manoeuvrer. Grandeur suffisante pour des particuliers. Seul bémol: aucune protection contre l'eau. Ai acheté l'enveloppe imperméable que j'ai placée à l'intérieur avec mes effets intégrés pour meilleure protection. J'ai déjà acheté le même coffre plus grand avec protection contre feu et eau mais la fermeture avec clé et clanche a fait défaut, donc j'ai opté pour ce modèle-ci qui est suffisamment grand mais nécessite une enveloppe imperméable pour bien protégr.

Should I not be home during an emergency, I believe this safe can protect items up to 1/2 hour in very high temperatures. The safe is not waterproof but I place my items in fire/water resistant go-bags which are then placed in the safe. I am hoping this extra step will provide some water protection as well as additional fire protection.
