AlecAlec: I'm writing review 1 year later after using it, i did a big research and decided to give this one a chance, other brands were way too expensive. So i would say this is the best value for your money if you are looking for cheaper option. Battery life is excellent it can stay idle for 2 weeks without re-charging. Used it for hunting , it really helps to see far at night. Has lots of options. But i thing price has gone up since last time i bought it, means they know they are selling cheaper than market. I paid $690 in 2021.

Amazon Customer: Sometime at work I use too at work a the big FLUKE professional one. They don't have the same resolution and this "reveal" have a lot less function. But for the price, it impress me and others for the resolution and precision of the temperature measured. I feared the not "gun type " as other reviewer said they didn't like. But I can see easily radian floor with it, then it's not the trouble for me. But I rarely use the flash light and preferred to have more function like gradient temperature with of course Max low measured temperature, to my taste, it's a basic function it must have. It's why I remove 1 star at 4.

Dialogue: The Reveal Pro is a very handy thermal imaging camera, that also happens to resolve and display a class-leading resolution of 320x240 individual thermal pixels. I've previously owned the excellent Flir One Pro, but that relied on being plugged into a smart-phone, which was a bit fiddly and prone to damage. But the Flir device only had a quarter of the resolution of this Reveal Pro.

I particularly like the ease of use. As it's a small dedicated device, all you need to do is take it out of your pocket and switch it on: the camera begins displaying the thermal image in about three seconds - that's very fast compared to my old Flir One. It also has an integrated torch which is very useful.

It comes with an integrated Lithium battery that lasts four hours. That's also impressive compared to competitors, although I personally tend to prefer the option of using standard batteries for gadgets that I don't use every day.

This is a great tool for identifying insulation problems in the house, tracking hot water pipes / central heating and damp/leaks. It's also fascinating to use indoors to see the heat signatures of things in the home, and is useful outside for spotting...

AndyAndy: I bought the Seek Reveal to check the quality of insulation in a new extension. The images are understandably grainy given the limited resolution and some time and experimentation is needed to make sense of then. There are several different "false colour" schemes available where different colours indicate different temperatures. The colours are relative, not absolute to the temperature so if you centre on a hot spot, moderately warm points will appear "cold".
There is a centre cross-hair that indicates where the temperature showing on the display is coming from.
Very small differences of temperature show up. For example it was possible to "see" the nails holding the insulation material to roof beams which did not show up on my stud-finder. Also, the mortar lines between thermalite blocks show up under the plaster (15 mm thick render - not board).
Overall, the device is much better than I anticipated. It is certainly more sensitive. The shape of it makes it easy to carry as well.

Jonathan: This thing is awesome, especially for the price. It can detect temperature differences of slightly less than 1 degree F, so heat leaks or missing insulation is easy to spot. You can see if a vehicle has been driven or an electrical outlet has powered a high-load device like a coffeemaker recently. Powered electrical or electronic devices are also easy to spot--even low-power devices like an inactive cell phone charger stand out. You can see handprints on walls and drops of warm water on the ground for a few minutes--the exact time depends on the size and temperature and wind. It is a true thermal imager; it doesn't need any any ambient visible light at all to work.

Build quality is good; I wouldn't expect it to survive being run over by a tank, use as a hammer, or repeated drops onto concrete, but you don't need to handle it with kid gloves, either, The display has a clear plastic panel over it, and the lenses, USB port, and card slot are all recessed enough to give them a reasonable amount of protection. I would say it is about like a decent-quality cell phone--handle it with a reasonable degree of care and it will last for years, but I wouldn't expect it to handle much...

RandomGuy: If you are specifically looking at a heat source or otherwise trying to use this as a tool to find a heat source (or cold) at short range, this does a good job. I can identify wood framing behind walls due to temp difference (there needs to be a decent temp difference between indoors and out) as well as where heat or cold are escaping. It's useful for looking at electrical panels and HVAC as well. If you are looking at this for more outdoors type activities like to spot animals use I question its usefulness. I was able to spot a rabbit at about 30 ft, which admittedly was cool but there was no way for me to identify it was a rabbit, although given the size of the heat signature I did correctly guess it was before lighting it up with the built-in flashlight. At approximately 100 ft I could not spot via the reveal display (until I spotted him and looked for the thermal signature specifically) a person on a balcony. Now there were a bunch of other heat signatures in the frame (like lights) so if those were not present its possible that person would have stuck out more. I was hoping for a bit longer reach with regards to being able to easily spot a person size target but it is...
