whocares: Works well enough. I'm not looking for accuracy, just relative temp difference. Battery life is short, even when turned off. I use it very occasionally, but batteries are always a concern.

D. Martland: This comes with a very sparse manual, with insufficient detail. As mentioned by others, there are no batteries provided, but it does come with a memory card. It takes time and effort, and a lot of hit and miss button presses to find out how to operate this thing. If the manual were better a lot of wasted time could be avoided. The resolution of the screen is actually quite good for taking the background pictures. This shows up in the pure optical mode - with no contribution from the heat sensors. Perhaps there is not enough resolution from the heat sensors - though this is uncertain. I tried this above an electric blanket, and it showed that there are definite wires with a regular structure inside, so it does show some structures based on heat. The colour coded images based on temperature can be merged with the optical image, though with even a small amount of heat information embedded in the image, the heat information dominates over the optical and then appears to be of a lower resolution. Partly this may be because even with sharply defined heat sources, the heat tends to leak and smear out over the surroundings, so it may not be just a matter of low resoution by the heat...

Tiffanie Phillips-Kirsch: I will be returning this. It does work but it isn't as sensitive as I needed it to be and doesn't work for the purpose I bought it for. I keep bees and do removals and I found that I don't get a reading through walls like I need to. I also couldn't get a reading on my hive even from six inches away. Maybe it would work if you are trying to monitor your hive in the winter as the temperature difference between the hive walls would be different enough at the height of winter for it to pick up a reading but I won't be keeping it long enough to find out.
I did register the temperature difference around windows and doors and the heat my ceiling fan motor and fridge put off, so if you need it for that then this will likely work well for you.

Olive?: This product is at the lower end of the cost spectrum, but while it does not have all the bells and whistles it does do what it says on the tin if a little slowly. I bought it to trace under floor heating pipes in the screed which it did do very easily and has saved me hundreds of pounds by me not drilling through any pipes!Picture quality was good enough for me.

Lorne K.Lorne K.: I bought this and a FLIR One to compare for PCB hotspot detection. About the same price, same resolution, I figured they'd be comparable. I prefer something that I do not have to hook up to my phone to use, so I was hoping this would be the winner. I compared each with an Adafruit USB Isolator, as I know the ADuM5000 and ADuM4160 chips get quite hot. Where the FLIR One detected a pretty good overall coverage of the temperature, the IR0002 couldn't even find the ADuM5000, which is the hotter of the two chips. It's almost like the heat map is rotated 90 degrees, and not even comprehensive at that. A touch test and a comparison with the FLIR One verified that these chips were both live and hot. I flipped through the manual to see if there were any changes I could make to improve the outcome, but nothing changed it, so it's getting sent back.

MichaelMichael: I bought this thing 2 years ago because it was cheaper than any other thermal camera anywhere. At the time, I had never used a thermal before, so it took me 2 years of use to realize what a piece of crap this is. I now have a much better thermal that I use now. I took pictures of the 2 cameras in use, looking at my heater in my apartment. You can clearly see the difference. The nice, crisp, clear thermal image of my heater is using my new thermal, and the poor resolution image (that looks like a red splotch in the middle of the screen is the "Perfect" Prime. Don't waste your money on this POS!!!

Su uso es para medir temperaturas, teniendo una idea a través del visor de las zonas más calientes y más frías. Teniendo este detalle bien claro, es un producto perfecto para localizar puntos calientes y medir la temperatura donde deseemos. La medición es muy precisa, teniendo en cuenta el precio del producto, así como la facilidad de tomar capturas de pantalla y guardarlas en una tarjeta microSD (incluida), que los dispositivos muchísimos más caros y de prestaciones similares no...
