Steven U.: One would think that with the super high resolution and the price, that this camera would be the one. I received it, stuffed it in the camera slot and was truly amazed at the app and interface. The features were just unbelievable. Yet, something was wrong. No matter how many different color pallets that I tried, I just couldn't get any clarity. I had no idea what I was pointing the camera towards. Unless I had the side by side feature on, there wasn't enough clarity with the infrared by itself to even know what I was seeing. I was used to the other brand with it MX technology where the two camera lenses work together. I get it. This one doesn't have that technology. But I had previously purchased another less expensive thermal camera known as the tiniest infrared camera in the world, the size of a nickel. That had extreme clarity and I couldn't understand why something that cost so much more with so much more resolution, could not provide a distinct clear picture on my camera screen. So, I used this product on a few other smartphones to see if there was a difference in clarity. There wasn't. M.Liebezeit: Die Kamera ist einfach zu bedienen und installiere . Die Bilder zeigen deutliche die temperaturunterschiede. Ich konnte die schlangen der Fussbodenheizung einigermaßen erkennen. Aber auch andere Kälte rücken.
Der Preis dafür ist natürlich sehr stolz.
Störend empfand ich die doch immer noch geringe Auflösung, obwohl diese Kamera schon eine höhere Auflösung als die kleine Schwester besitzt. Das sind recht hohe Ansprüche, aber bei diesem Preis darf das erlaubt sein. Ich dachte ich komme mit dieser Auflösung klar, aber leider reicht mir das nicht.
Die Kamera 📷 macht einen großen Sprung Richtung Profi Kamera, die so 20.000€ kosten können, vereint mit der einfachen Bedienung am und mit dem Handy. Muss jeder für sich entscheiden ob ihm das fast 600€ wert ist. Mir war es das nicht.
Die App lässt keine Wünsche übrig. Macht was sie verspricht und die Bilder können schnell überall verarbeiten oder auch nur gesehen werden. Ich habe die IOs Variante gehabt

Warren H.: This is my third Seek Thermal Compact. We love it better than the stand alone Thermal camera for Bigfoot adventures because of its range, and the fact that we can take videos. We can also turn the camera around to face us while using the galaxy S10+! Well worth the money for outdoor adventures and wildlife viewing.

I liked the idea of viewing things in IR. You will probably want to know my level of technical competence. Ok. I fixed numerous phones (by smd solder work), many cars (hardware and software), and countless computers (load, reload OS, software troubleshooting, board level repars, etc) and wrote few pieces of commercially used software. This is not to beef up my resume, but to give you a fair idea on how to estimate my review of this device. Did I know what I am doing or not. Up to you.

The Seek Thermal looks great and is packaged like an iPhone. There went probably $50 of your money. Comes with the device and the specially made storage box that looks like an underwater case. Wow. I can imagine how happy will I be, already. Under the device is hidden a useless amazing quality print brochure.

The software on phone will keep reporting that camera isn't connected, and you'll think that something is wrong with it, but actually, this is only because the software can't call home (if it can't, as mine was in an airplane mode and no wifi). SoundOffSoundOff: I bought this to test this unit out and to see if I could determine where I was getting heat escape from the house.

Pros:
- Relatively cheap compared to others
- Plug and Play (After software is installed)

Cons:
- Rendering is not as crisp as I was expecting (compared to other pics I saw in the reviews)
- No real instructions
- Low FOV
- Make clicking sound constantly (Recalibration)

I bought this as it seemed to have a decent review compilation and due to it being under $200.
It came in a nice box and also comes with a hard plastic storage case when you are not using it. They claim it is waterproof and from my testing (without my Seek in the case), it did appear to be waterproof. To what depth or pressure is unknown.

The instructions come on a few lines on one page of the Welcome Guide document.

EECSEECS: The Seek Compact thermal cameras (XR and non-XR) have a true thermal sensor resolution of 206 x 156 pixels, and are remarkably cheaper than other thermal cameras with a similar resolution. I have never used any other thermal camera, but I have read comments by people who do also have other thermal cameras, who observe that the Seek image has more noise. I guess you would expect something to be better if you paid three times the price, so I didn't deduct any stars for the noise. I have attached a couple of images (a person and my UPS) showing what the camera can do. Note that I probably didn't get the focus quite right; I found it surprisingly difficult to tell exactly how well I had focused.

You can't tell by looking at these images, but in fact the temperatures reported are out by 6°C. Under other circumstances (after briefly reviewing a recorded and image and then returning to measuring) my camera reported temperatures as much as 8°C below reality at room temperature. The image also became very noisy and developed a halo effect. Seek specify that between 0°C and 100°C the camera should be accurate to within ±5°C once it has warmed up, so my unit was clearly...
