It was fairly easy to install although I recommend that king force create a video that is narrated esp the programming part. I called customer service and to my surprise got a live person in 5 minutes and she walked me through code programming. Also the auto lock feature is the best so no one has worry about remembering to lock the door manually.

Kerry M.: UPDATE: I did hear back from and email I sent to the manufacturer and upgraded my rating from 1 star. They called me on WhatsApp to troubleshoot the problems. Very friendly and helpful but awkward trying to troubleshoot with the time delay using WhatsApp. Apparently, they are "updating" their phone number and customer service. The instructions for adding additional users is not clear at all but the Youtube videos they sent were adequate and I was able to get it programed. Original post: I bought this lock in March and just now got around to installing it. Now the return period has expired - bad on me! Very easy to install but I keep getting error messages when I try to program the user code. The registration process for the product would not work, the phone is never answered and it says all "agents" are buy and disconnects you. I have tried several times and get the same result. Their "chat" feature does not work.

Kelly D.: So my advice, MAKE SURE YOU toggle the switch to left or right during install depending on door you have. Once you’re ready to program... MAKE SURE IT IS UNLOCKED, and programming will go smoothly from there. The tutorial videos for installation and programming were such wonderful help, and I think the issue most people have is that they must begin in unlocked position for programming. It’s a great lock overall and would def recommend. Installation took 10 minutes. Programming took me a while bc I skipped putting switch to left handed prior to install. I watched the install video, removed the plate, removed wire so could reset, and then re-installed. So easy from that point!!

E.J. Churchill: I was nervous about this being difficult to install, but it wasn’t at all — it was very simple. I recommend watching the YouTube video; access to it is in the instructions. Setting up the codes was a little more complicated — it took me a few tries, but once I understood and got the hang of it, it was easy. I’ve set up 4 codes now. There’s a YouTube video for that as well. There’s a program code you set up, then an ID for each code, then the code itself. It was the ID part I wasn’t getting at first, but basically it’s a distinct ID to identify and differentiate each code. At first I was thinking the ID was supposed to be the same for each code you add, but it should be distinct. The lock is also easy to use. I like that there is an option to turn off the beeping.

D.J.: I've had this lock installed for 9 months now, so I feel like like I have enough practical experience with it to write a knowledgeable review. I still like the look of it and it was pretty easy to install, but from the start the actually functionality has been problematic. I originally set it up with 4 access codes. It would just randomly forget them, one by one. At one point, it even overrode my "admin" code with one of the other access codes I'd created. I reset all of it and started fresh with a single code, and that's been fine... Though I always still carry the key with me, just in case. And it's a good thing I do, because its automatic locking functionality works/doesn't work on its own whims. Also, this lock eats through batteries! I've had to replace the 4 AA batteries three times in nine months. That's crazy. I don't have to change the batteries in my TV remote this much! I really wanted this to be an install-and-never-think-about-it-again choice, but that's just not the case. Finally giving up on it and heading to Home Depot to find something that (fingers crossed) can get the job done.
