Lisa Linkous: First of all, I do use way more than the bottle calls for. I've used what it calls for, and it just didn't satisfy me. I have an 18ft wide by 48" deep above ground pool. I use half the bottle in the spring. I use half the bottle around the end of July, first of August. I have it on subscribe and save. I swear by it. I literally shock my pool once a week. Period. End of maintenance. I have an automatic pool vac, so I don't even have to vacuum. I have crystal clear water (chlorine pool) and I spend ZERO time on it. No joke. Prior to finding this amazing algaecide, I was fighting with the water constantly. I could never get it clear enough, and could never keep out the slightly or even overwhelming green out of the pool. I was having to use a lot more shock than I am now. A LOT more. This is a bit expensive, but it saves me probably $50 a summer in shock. I use shock, chlorine tabs in a floater, and this algaecide. It's worth it if it were twice the price! It literally saved my sanity.

Joe E. Consumer: Not that I have an algae issue, but one time my build in pool looked a bit sad. So - I added half a bottle of this stuff to my 9000 gallon pool. By the afternoon it was sparkling!
So - Now I keep a bottle on hand at all times. After a lot of rain (I live in central Florida, so we get rain!), I add half a bottle. Then I don't have to even think about it for another 3 to 6 months.
Advice: Make sure your chem levels are good. Then, use this stuff and your pool will sparkle.

Regina K: I added the whole bottle to a 10,000 gallon above ground pool and did not notice a difference.
All of my chemicals were right when I added this. I was on vacation and my neighbor was taking care of my pool, but it rained several days in a row before I got back so the pool started to turn green. I adjusted my chemicals and added the whole bottle so I wouldn’t have to chance it being enough. three days later my pool with the same color.

labuyer: My pool stays algae free as long as the free chlorine is above 10ppm. The moment its drops below (literally overnight) black algae spots will appear in the shallow end. Raise the chlorine and they disappear just as quickly. I had hoped this product would help with this issue but it had absolutely no effect. I was seduced by the promise and money back guarantee - I should have spotted that this product was copper based; I have tried other copper algaecides and they didn't work either. It would help if manufacturers would clearly state the active ingredient (not in the small print) on the label.

Update July 19th. I have allowed the chlorine level to fall and now at 3ppm and I am pleased to say that there is no sign of black algae so far. Maybe it works for me after all. Let's see if I have 90 days of freedom as promised!

Update August 18th. I am pleased to report that my pool has been algae free since the last update and I am able to keep the chlorine at 3ppm. If it falls to 1ppm I can see the black algae trying to make a comeback but not at all with the ferocity it used to.
