Michael Rathausky: Ich habe in meinem 450 Liter Südamerika-Aquarium einige Wurzeln die stark das Wasser bräunlich gelb färben, was mir nicht so gut gefallen hat weil ich viel Geld für eine Aquariumleuchte mit extrem schönem Farbspektrum ausgegeben habe. Seit Verwendung des Absorbers ist das Wasser wieder glasklar. Wenn die Aufnahme erschöpft ist kann man es mit Chlorbeize wieder regenerieren - super praktisch!

Stacey Strahorn: Finally something that removes tannins in the aquarium. I had previously tried activated charcoal, soaking the driftwood, and water changes. My tanks still looked tea stained. I know that tannins are a good thing for the water, but I do not like the dirty tank look. Purigen rocks!

Sven: Ich verwende zwei Innenfilter und in einem habe ich ca. 0,2 Liter von diesem Medium in einem Spezialbeutel (sehr feinporig) untergebracht. Zum reinigen verwende ich das Produkt DanKlorix aus dem Supermarkt (unverdünnt in einem Konservenglas), jedes andere Produkt wird es aber auch tun. Nach einer halben Stunde ist alles sauber, muss aber gut durchgewaschen werden, damit kein Chlor zurückbleibt. Ich lasse den Beutel (ich habe zwei davon) dann noch einige Tage mit Wasser und sera aquatan in einem Konservenglas liegen.

Purigen in den Filter gepackt, laufen lassen, klares Wasser.
Klingt zu einfach und es mag auch bestimmt Fälle geben, in denen das nicht funktioniert, aber ich würde es JEDEM empfehlen.
Humin, normale Trübung als auch Färbung von Medikamenten (wobei ich hier auch auf Entzug des Wirkstoffes tippe, also besser vorher entfernen) werden innerhalb kürzester Zeit entfernt.
