Doyle: The Sabarot French Green Lentils from Puy taste delicious, making any dish that calls for lentils special. The peppery flavour and creamy texture are an ideal addition to any Bolognese or soup. Your method of cooking may require a shorter or longer cooking time. I might suggest soaking for about 30 - 40 minutes before cooking if you're serving the dish the same day you make it, except for soups. French Green lentils from Puy have a very distinct flavour derived from the soil. I would buy this product from this seller again and recommend it to friends and family.

Heidi: Lentils came packaged in only a box, similar to a pasta box. Both the front and back of the box have good sized see-through windows. These windows are covered with circular perforations that appear factory-made and are large enough that the lentils fall out if they line up just right. That means insects and other things could easily access the contents. Additionally, the see-through windows have sticker residue indicating that something was removed that was covering some of the holes. It didn't seems safe to consume these lentils. Numerous mentions of same issue in other reviews when I went back and looked. Amazon customer service was helpful and timely in resolving the issue.

Hypnotist Collector: I'm addicted to these lentils! I make a lentil salad with bacon and a vinaigrette made with Dijon mustard and sherry vinegar, with lots of sauted carrots and celery. Absolutely delicious and nourishing, and I feel like I'm in France. Amazon's price is high, though. Rancho Gordo says its lentils have a similar flavor and texture, and they're a great company too, with consistently delicious and extremely high-quality products - and theirs may be slightly less expensive.
