Anon: So I like lentils but I'm not, like, a connoisseur of them. I've enjoyed them in soups and other dishes, but I've only just started cooking with them. French greens are my favorite, flavor-wise, but the first brand I had was... meh, to say the least.
These, though? These are EXCELLENT. They taste peppery and delicious, even freshly cooked (the other brand I needed to cook them and then wait a day or two for the pepper-like flavor to come through). They're also tinier than the other ones I had, which is 1) adorable and 2) culinarily delightful.
The only thing to keep in mind is that they weirdly need a lot more water than I'm used to? Like, the other brand required 2-2.5 cups per 1 cup dried lentils. I've found that these require well over 3 cups to cook through, depending on the recipe.

G Dagenais: These lentils don't soften, even after 30 minutes of boiling. I've read the usual reason for this is that the lentils are older than 1-2 years.

Amazon Customer: Came just as expected, high quality, taste super good too. The only stores near me that sell french lentils sell them for 1 cup at 7 dollars. So this is a huge money saver

Resmee: Love these French green lentils! Cook very fast. Glad I ordered the 10 lb bag. Made soup, added pumpkin, onion, garlic, ginger, beef broth, delicious! Add to anything! Even if you don't like lentils, you just might like this one. Fabulous.

meidai76: These are very good Puy lentils grown in Canada. Like any lentils I've bought here in America, they need to be checked through, but they are generally quite clean. The strong plastic packaging is convenient and the price is very reasonable. I will certainly order these Puy lentils again in the future and I gladly recommend them. The only reason I hesitated to give this product five stars is that the lentils actually grown in the Puy region of France ( the word " puy" being a term used in the Auvergne for a volcanic hill) are the very best available.
These lentils make wonderful Puy lentil spreads, French rice and lentil salads, and hearty soups. The company does a great job!

Heron: Each product I've bought from this company has been of very high quality. In addition, when I have had to contact the company for customer service, the company has acted "above board." I'm an older guy and I was taught that the ethics of a company ARE part of the quality of their product. It means you can purchase their products with confidence. this is too rare "these days."
