Sheila: I could have read another 2-300 pages of this book, it was wonderful. Also, usually my WW2 books do not have children as main characters. This book hit me differently because of it, a special kind of sad.

Dawn combs: Such a heart wrenching story. I can’t imagine the millions of lives lost and/or ruined by hate, war, torture, violence and the horrific deeds of powerful political figures throughout history. It’s unimaginable beyond belief. But I loved this story and the note of love, hope and sacrifice woven through it with such tender care. A treasure!

KChi: I love reading historical fiction and this book left me wanting for more. It is a heart wrenching tale from the World War era..not a typical love story, but a love story nevertheless. I had to read it in bursts because certain descriptions about WWII atrocities left me in tears and I needed sometime to regroup. Very vivid and painfully beautiful!

Kindle Customer: This book had me at the edge of my seat from the beginning to the end. I was wishing it would go beyond and explain how Gretchen achieved her ability to read and understand the music notes. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.🙂

HBKAT92647: I rarely get to read for pleasure and this book was fluid and easy to read. The characters were human, raw, and deeply passionate. The story so moving, hopeful, realistic and sadly true to what happened during WWII. Many should read this as we are facing the same monsters of the 3rd Reich alive and well in WEF and psycho elites. The story will make you ache and keep you turning the pages.
