S. Justin: I love the way Mary Ellen Taylor tells this story. You could feel what the people of Rome went thru during the early 40’s. The storyline made me wonder how many people could tell similar stories of their losses and then moving on

georgianna: Despite the horror of the Nazis and bombing by Allies and cancer devastation, this is a lovely love story of many intertwined lives. I couldn’t stop reading it. Ms. Taylor is so adept at description, I could picture places where action occurred.
