Round Handle Crook Style Walking Aid Cane - Made of Wood

Marbia Monroe: I bought this cane for my daughter who drastically needed a new one. We had a hard time finding just the right one since the one she had was passed down from her grandparent and she loved it to assist her with her walking.

This cane has a nice brown hue. It is sturdy but not too heavy to navigate.

J.G.: Plenty sturdy for my needs. I’m 160 lbs. I think I’d have to really try hard to use enough force to make it bow. I need a cane to help with balance and support while walking. This one fills the bill. Nice finish especially for the price. I have a number of canes that cost twice as much or more and aren’t any bette than this one.

Thomas G. Kohn: The PCP cane I purchased is a full-wood product with a sturdy rubber tip that includes a small interior metal plate for stability. I cut the cane down 1.5-in with a small handsaw and reattached the rubber tip.

Although the Crook Style Round Handle is attractive, it does not encourage a sure grip. --To be equitable, it allows you to easily use the cane "forwards" or "backwards" with equal assist.

However, the cane is easily a good value in comparison to other canes that were posted following a search on Amazon.

Clifford A. DeMeritt: Superbly lightweight, no metal (except washer in cane tip, easily replaced at Ace Hardware, 7/8" diameter fit tightly), good hand feel. (Not strong enough for a 300# man to stand on center of cane if cane laid horizontally across two saw horses, but who would???) Strong if force applied vertically down shaft for balance or support when used correctly (i.e. opposite side of disabled leg). Not bamboo (as one might be led to believe from photo), but solid wood, a little flexy (very little in normal use), scored and painted to imitate bamboo. (The scoring was not precise, missing overlap at start/finish point by 1/4". But I bought for function, not to show off.)
