Ergonomic Wooden Walking Cane for Men and Women - Hand Carved by Asterom

Kristen Seguin: My son is 18 and a student at a big college. He also has been battling leukemia for 2 years now. It's been so hard for him to get around campus and this semester his classes are especially spread out. It's been such a struggle for him, but being 18 he also has had some difficulty accepting that he needed a little help. A friend bumped into him on campus and send me a selfie and the first thing I noticed was him carrying his big umbrella on a beautiful sunny morning. I called him and agreed to try a cane.

I brought him this and he was so happy. He'd been hiding the need for one because he was so worried about being embarassed with his peers, but he feels like this is really nice looking and while he has this struggle, it's not negative in his mind to use it.

Thanks for the great product and making my kid feel ok about his struggles with leukemia

Edmund Van Brunt: I was very impressed by this cane as well as a second one I purchased with the carved head of a wolf. These canes are well built as well as being works of art. They feel more massive in your hand than most other canes, although some might consider this a hindrance if they have small hands. I’m considering purchasing a third cane as a Christmas present for myself, because I like them so much. Their brochure shows many more styles with carvings as well as metal artwork on the handles. I highly recommend these canes even if you’re planning to buy just one. You’ll not only have a very sturdy cane for walking, but you’ll also have a nice piece of artwork as well.

Richard: All is great except the rubber foot. It’s a safety issue. The foot is small, it slips on floors and does not grip. Almost fell a few times. You’d think with the quality of the cane and the price they ask they would supply a better rubber foot than a small 1 inch cap. May return unless I can locate a more robust rubber tip.

Jenna223717: I was not expecting what I got with this item. It’s gorgeous! It was wrapped incredibly well and there was not a scratch on it. It includes a catalogue with all options and includes a picture of the shop and craftsmen.

1Starr1der: I have a wide variety of canes, including several that are handmade by local craftsmen in Wisconsin. I can say without reservation that this is the best cane I own. I have several metal canes, including a 'revolver grip'; 2 lucite clear canes, and at least a half dozen wood canes- the Asterom is the best by a wide margin. Workmanship is excellent, the finish is a satin finish and the grip is wonderful. Easy as pie to assemble; all you do is fit the decorative metal band (make sure it's right side up :-), and simply screw in the handle. It comes in separate pieces so it doesn't get damaged in shipping, and as a former UPS worker, I can say the packaging is excellent. I recommend this without reservation.
