Cody H: Worked reliably for 8 months, then it stopped working entirely. Burnt electronics and all , the fuse never blew and if I hadn’t caught it when it happened it could have been a house fire.

Stephanieann: Not sure what is going on with all the negative reviews. If you simply read the instructions it works out pretty well.
Got this for my leopard gecko, so far it was super easy to set up especially with the 24hour format.
It does have 12 hours cycles (seen someone on here say it didn’t). The wires being long is not an inconvenience at all. You can always zip tie them to make them shorter. Also i used the dessert setting and than tweaked a bit to my liking. Which also is awesome that you’re able to do that. There’s also 4 timer settings which i found really cool.
Definitely happy with this purchase and would purchase again in the future.

Mia Wills: I've had this for almost a year and it has been wonderful! I use the reptizoo 2.2L solo humidifier, zoo med reptitherm heat pad and the zoo med uvb lamp with it. It's easy to set your parameters and the thermostat will beep if out of range. There is also a switch on the back to turn off the light on the screen if the light bothers you at night. The outlets on the thermostat are labelled for you as well which I find handy. I plug my lamp in the timer outlet and set the timer to where the light comes on at 7 am and turns off at 7 pm. I do this by setting 1- 3 at 0:00 and setting 4 to 7:00 in the first column and 19:00 in the second column. I even bought a thermo gun and humidity probe to test the accuracy of the sensors' readings and its very accurate. I would highly recommend this product to anyone needing something reliable that does it all.

Bradley McLean: I have all the settings changed so it turns on at 0800 to 2000 but won't turn my UVB bulb on. Kinda a terrible product and I feel bed for anyone that spent as much as I did on it.

FuzzyKitten: The media could not be loaded.  This controller helped to cycle my Exo Terra bioactive vivarium before addimg my Gargoyle Gecko to the enclosure.

Since it is a small 12×12×18 reptile vivarium for a gargoule that drinls mostly from leaves and bromiliads centers instead of a water dish, I hooked a "reptile safe" rock waterfall/drip rock feature water bowl to the humidity controller portion of the climate controller.

When the humidity falls below my preset, the waterfall comes on and falling and flowing water stirs the air and adds humidity back to the small enclosure within a few minutes. It cycles about 2 to 4 times an hour for about 3 to 8 minutes depending on the temp and humidity during the set day/night cycle I programmed. I still manaully mist 1 to 3 mist pumps from a mist bottle every morning to simulate dew on tuheleaves but, this rock fountain setup removed the need for a actual water bowl/cup mist or fogger system which a Gargoyle really shouldn't need the whole expense of having to purchase.

Since Gargs are mostly nocturnal or under day canopy cover and don't need a UV basking light, I went with a color and intensity variable full spectrum LED...

FriendofPhibsFriendofPhibs: I am not sure why there are so many complaints about programming this. It took me about 5 minutes, but I am a child of the digital watch era so it is a little familiar to me. The most confusing thing is setting the sunrise/sunset times since its only two digits. This left me scratching my head for a second. Instead of putting 8:00 am you would put 08 and for 5:00 pm you have to put 17 (this thing uses military time). If you are using this in a bioactive or live planted tank it would be best for animals that do not have a UVB requirement or can utilize UVB and heat on one fixture (like the Zilla low profile dual) since it has limited power sources. It only comes with three controls, Heat, Timer & Humidity. The timer runs my grow/LED lights for the plants, the humidity runs the fogger, and the heat runs my dual dome UVB/halogen heat source. The ability to program night temperatures for a nightime heat drop prevents my UVB/halogen light from flipping on when the temp drops, but this only works for me because my house temps are fairly stable. If you are in a drafty house, you probably would be better off using a conventional heat source on the thermostat and running your UVB...
