Carl L.: On my plastic aquarium the thermometer reads 2.5 F lower than what I think is the actual temperature is as measured by other thermometers.

LaLainya C Johnson: I'm an idiot. I wrote a bad review and said it didn't work...it would have been helpful had I read the instructions. Once I removed the paper strip from the battery of the 1st one it worked just fine. I like that you can set a range and it will alert you if the temp goes over or under.
