Replacement Audio-Technica ATN95E Stylus for AT95E Cartridge - Green

Andy O'Brien: So I bought this stylus to replace one I accidentally broke (vinyl noob), and found it easy to install. Great sound like the one I broke, and just generally a great investment. Fast forward to yesterday and I get Dolly's New Rockstar album. Start to enjoy, but one a change to D2S1 I was so into the music that I took the term "drop the beat" a little too harshly and the needle did a head dive into tracks 1, and 3 and the needle broke off.

What sucks is I am pretty hurting for cash at the moment, and this stylus is passed the 2 year warranty mark, not to mention, it was my bad. I was willing to pony up the cash, but on a lark I reached out to service at atus dot com and, Erik F. offered a half off for a replacement. I just had to call the parts division and place an order.

It wasn't much, but it meant a lot to me that I got a HUMAN (or really good AI) to answer my email, and that they did something to help me get my player working again.

AngelZ: Temevo il mio giradischi avesse un problema al braccio in quanto scivolava sui dischi...invece ho fatto una prova ed era proprio la puntina che non aderiva più.
Ho provato dunque con questa puntina di ricambio ed è tornato tutto come prima.
Ho anche avuto un problema con la prima spedizione ma il venditore ha provveduto immediatamente alla sostituzione. Tutto ottimo.

goldenears: I thought that my AT95 cartridge needed renewal after 8 years of use but it didn't. It just goes to show that I don't play LPs very often, as I much prefer digital recordings which measure and sound better than vinyl to my ears. However, playing LP records is still enjoyable for different reasons.

When I changed the stylus I noticed that originally the stylus was misaligned and should have been showing all sorts of faults according to "audiophiles" writing on forums and HIFI magazines. I corrected the alignment and played a record and hey ho I could not hear any difference between the old and new styluses.

I then compared the inferior AT95E cartridge and stylus to a superior VM95EN cartridge and stylus. Both cartridges were aligned "correctly". The differences were not night and day. as they were subtle. I played a well recorded orchestral work to make my comparison. I also played the digital equivalent and felt that it was more true to life but it was not a night and day difference.

The AT95 cartridge is proof to me that you don't need to pay £2,000 for a cartridge and £10, 000 for a turntable to get acceptable sound quality. An Audio Technica , budget...

jayson: The ATN95E. Is always been a great stylus and cartridge fit almost every turn table. I first had one years and years back. good all around sound good price never had a problem with them damaging any records. Also know a lot of people who use the ATN95E also going back years. I keep one as a back up or daily play. I just got a new cartridge and stylus. And I have a cupple AT Head shells. that you can get for$15 some times cheaper. that I put different cartridges on for quick swaps. Even if you have huge budget and love your highend cartridge set up awesome 👍 I still feel I doesn't hurt to have one around. And if your budget is tight this is a great cartridge and stylus easy install I'd recommend it I think one of the most important things on budget turn table is that you can remove the head shell or at least be able to switch cartridge for up grades
