Vianney Zahner: Cellule absolument parfaite pour moi, écoute sur Dual 617Q avec adaptateur en remplacement de la très fragile Ortofon TKS 55E qui ne me donnait plus satisfaction. J'écoute quasi exclusivement du jazz et de temps en temps du classique. Cette cellule correspond à mes attentes.

Bhue: The OEM cart that came with my RP1 Rega was at the end of its life. This VM95 was easy to install, even with my old fingers. I think the sound is better than original. I need to think that it is better to justify the purchase. Read some instructions before you do the installation. A stylus force gage and a protractor (downloadable) will ease your mind that it was installed ok.

RZiegRZieg: I installed this on my 50 year old Thorens TT. I had an intermittent right channel plus the old cartridge was of questionable background. I chose this one because of my unknown problem, didn't want to spend a ton if the source of the intermittent channel was elsewhere. Well this fixed the problem and it sounds great. I like the idea of being able to upgrade the stylus too. I did replace the 4 wires too. Maybe it was only a bad wire! Well it's nice to have a known cartridge now.

Eric 379Eric 379: The media could not be loaded. The sound quality of this cartridge rivals the $200 (in the 80's!!) Audio-Technica AT29SX. For the cost of a replacement stylus for that 29 today, I can buy approximately 3 of these!
This is a great, amazing value in a quality phono cartridge. The AT-VM95E features an elliptical diamond stylus which tracks the record groove smoothly and accurately. The sound quality is phenomenal. Deep lows that had the sub under my desk making happy vibes, crystal clear highs with treble extension and clarity that a CD can't touch, and the midrange is present, forward and clear. Female vocals are textured, full and weighty. I auditioned Carole King's Tapestry and was blown away. The piano in "Smackwater Jack" was in the room with me. Stereo imaging and soundstage are broad and have good instrument placement and separation. With a claimed 20db of stereo separation, I'd call it conservatively rated. The soundstage moves outside the speakers and there's plenty of channel separation for my ears. While on the subject of specs, I have no doubt on the validity of the claimed 20Hz-22kHz frequency response! The depths of lows I was able to hear and the reach...
