Iggy: I’ve always relied on the marks on the tonearm, but I couldn’t trust them on my new turntable. I’m sure there are more high-end expensive scales out there. But for the price, this one does what I needed it to do. It works well, no issues.

jsender: I previously used a little digital scale not designed for tracking weight calibration, but decided to get a scale that's designed for this application since it was affordable. Turns out I was previously tracking at around .8g, and now that I have my needle tracking at 1.5g, everything sounds better. Less surface noise, less pops/skips.

One thing...I bought "new" but it sure seemed like a previously used item (box closed with a small piece of scotch tape)...I bet a lot of ppl use this to calibrate and then send it back same day for a refund. But w/e it works and does what I paid for so I guess that doesn't really matter. Keeping mine for next time if necessary.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: I wanted to confirm the stylus force on my Planar P2 and ensure it wasn't set over or under, and I spent hours researching various scale gauges and reading/watching reviews of each. I even called some dealers and manufacturers and one of them recommended I get the Neoteck Digital Turntable Stylus Force Scale Gauge. With its low price point, I was skeptical, but I bought it. Let me tell you that this gauge does what all the expensive ones do. It arrived from Amazon in a nice and organized box and it took me 30 seconds to set it up. I calibrated it in a minute and it read 5.0 and then moved on to my turntable. Much to my surprise, I set my Planar P2 stylus to 1.86 before measuring the force with the Neoteck, so that was good news. I placed the Neoteck on the turntable, rotated the weight a few tiny turns and got the reading to 2.0, which is 100% optimized for my Planar P2 stylus. I removed the batteries from the Neoteck and placed them in the handy foam holder and boxed it up for future use.
