Kelly M.: My story, yes, there is one. I inherited a nice Technics turntable from a friend several years ago. At the time, I didn't really take notice of the cartridge and stylus, it just worked. The turntable just worked, yay. Damaged the existing stylus in a move, found it was a Ortofon 20, $200 bucks to replace it. Being short of funds, I opted for the Pro S, and it does the job.

My hearing isn't the best, so I can't hear the subtleties between a $200 stylus and a $30 stylus. Maybe I could side by side. Anyway, this stylus does the job, I'm happy with it, and can listen to my albums. if only I'd invested in diamonds, then I wouldn't see $200 as a issue. What most impressed me is the speed by which Amazon got the shipment to me. Faster than advertised. If only other unnamed companies, like a certain G company, would get a frigging clue about the fact that customer happiness is directly proportionate to the speed by which packages are delivered. It ain't rocket science. Thanks Ortofon for making a decent stylus and thanks Amazon for providing stellar service.

NFLSLNGER: For 30 bucks, cant complain. It doesnt sound as good as an elliptical but for a straight tone arm you can only use spherical with the Ortofons, so.... here we are! Its a good deal really and its ortofon quality, great sound.

Henry C: A pleasant surprise replacement for an OM 10H stylus and performance almost give the Shure M97xe a little bit competition when mounted on a linear tracking old Technics. Ok the linear tracking tone arms is superior than the straight and S tone arm in many ways and elevated the performance but it still have to be a good stylus/cartridge to begin with. So I say well worth the money in my case

JC McUsername: I had been trying for several days to find replacement cartridges for my OM5e that didn't require overseas shipping or purchasing the entire unit for twice the price. I ended up settling for this model since I just couldn't get what I wanted and it was available for Prime Shipping. Threw it on my Orbit turntable when it arrived and it's an acceptable substitution. The only thing I'm concerned about is I hear the Pro S stylus wears out faster but will just have to keep an eye out for that in the near future...

Anthony Harris: Otofon cartriges and stylii are for the audiophile. They're among the finest. But, the finest is almost always the most expensive. I'm a serious classical musician, and I seek for the best in my audio equipment. I have a collection of 33's going back to over 50 years ago. I enjoy listening to them, but I want to protect them. The Ortofon is about the lightest tracking stylus for the lightest tracking cartrige available. Phono records have lost their popularity due to the emergence of CD's. So one would naturally expect phono stylii to go up in price . . . and they have . . . very much so. While shopping around, I was looking at various stylii for my Ortofon cartrige, while comparing prices. I was surprised and delighted when I found this stylus for about 1/4 to 1/5 the price of others with identical specifications. I've had it for quite a while now, have used it a lot, and it works great. FANTASTIC STYLUS AT A FANTASTIC PRICE!!
