Reolink Pan-Tilt Solar-Powered 3G/4G LTE Security Camera with Battery Backup

Farmer Fred : I use this to monitor my off grid farm in vermont and it handles everything. Super high winds, snow, sleet, rain, it never stops working. Got it set up with Verizon and was super easy. 10/10 I am buying 4 more next year to increase security! Battery life is great too never had a single issue with this product and have had it set up in a field for over a year without checking on it.

Jaya: Hello, we purchased 7 of these cameras for work, and were quite satisfied with the price, product, quality & motion detection. Now we are able to see the footage the cameras capture via the app. Its very user friendly which is a bonus. I would highly recommend this product.

patrick: I bought my first camera over 2 years ago. I was so impressed that I purchased a second camera and highly recommended to my friends prior. Sadly after 2 years the camera stopped working. Customer service is only available via Email and response is 24 hours later. I was told that it’s out of warranty and offered a discount price to purchase a new one. I did purchase a newer model and now both of my cameras fail to connect. Previously I was a fan, now I wouldn’t buy one if it was free . I will update my review if and when I speak with customer service
Update 9/6/2023 I’m a believer again! Customer service sent me a brand new updated camera. Both of my cameras are fully functional. Couldn’t be happier

Amazon Customer: I own 5 Reolink camera. Two WiFi version and three LTE version (US/CAN), one GO and two GO PT. Those three LTE cameras are working perfectly using the Telus data sim card.

This GO PT Plus unit will not connect using a brand new Telus data sim card. Then tried using the other three Telus sim cards that we know is working and they don't work in this unit. We then installed the brand new sim card into the three other LTE cameras and they connected to the network and able to connect to the Reolink app. This shows this GO PT Plus unit is defective and will not work with any sim card and I'm not about waist my time and try another cell carrier.

I emailed Reolink Customer Service and they can't connect to this unit after giving them the UID number. So they aren't able to resolve this issue.

Very disappointed because we don't really want to go with another name brand and have to install a different app to view their camera. Or we just wait it out and hopefully later down the road we'll order another Reolink and hopefully it'll work.

Clayton: I was using this camera for a production well that produces for my business and it is located where it is very secluded and no electricity is present at all. in all it was very good for everything picture , sound , movement side to side and speaker microphone , only issue is that the battery unfortunately doesn't last long with no sun out during cold winter months in Southern Ontario, but that is definitely expected considering how cold and dark it can get at times, for the solar panel has no chance to charge up battery. I also did experience a problem with my camera along the way and it did eventually quit working, couldn't recognize the sim card , which was frustrating to say the least. But here is where the 5 stars , i give the reolink support team and doing a great job in walking me through troubleshooting and they eventually sent me a new one anyway under warranty to replace defective one and were back up and running and working well again. So even if you experience issues along the way Reolink support will have you looked after .

Christine Gleeton: Camera set up was ok using Bell SIM card. Night vision works but could be better. Two way audio is very limited with serious lack of speaker power. The siren alarm is so weak that it would not scare anything away. The most disappointing factor is its connection capabilities which barely works 50% of the time. This product is much too costly for its performance.

Simon E.Simon E.: I ordered the kit, which was with the solar panel.
LTE part of the camera seems to be plug and play, meaning I used a tablet share plan SIM, no problems.
It has a Cloud option, which is the quickest way to replay videos.
It's motion sensor is small so it always catches mid way of it's view and I believe the time trigger needs to improve slightly. I believe part of the sensor issues is because it's set up farther from the road.
Night Vision is ok, nothing spectacular but it does the job.
Speaker is small but I've never really had to use it, tho if you use high volume, it will be "tinny" sounding.
The picture/video quality is good enough but at a distance you will not make out a license plate unfortunately.
Overall, construction seems pretty good, the option to turn camera from remote area is nice. I believe around a building it does it's job when closer.

Update. Having constant problems with this camera. Changing rating to a 1. Over the past 6 months I have been fighting to keep this thing working almost weekly. Requires resetting the unit every time. Sometimes working, sometimes not. Solar panel was keeping a 90% to 100% charge but recently camera stopped working completely. Tried charging with USB but orange and red lights flash alternately. Looks like the battery is toast after about 7 months. I won't be ordering any more of this brand.

Generally this is a very nice security camera with great features. The video quality is excellent and the ability to remotely move the lens position is awesome. However I am having some problems that make this camera somewhat annoying.

First the ability to control this camera through the app is spotty. I am showing a 4 bar signal strength but am getting connection errors most of the time. Live watching is impossible. Adjustment of the camera angle is very difficult. Maybe if you are in an area with a 5 bar signal it might work better.

Second I hate the PIR motion sensing. It supposed to be better than the older trail cam sensing...

WestCoaster: I needed a cellular security camera to keep tabs on homes that I flip from out of state. So I began the extensive search on Amazon for something that fit my needs. I came across the Reolink battery cellular camera and began reading about it. Some reviews about it mention connection issues and problems with SIM cards. This had me worried, but it seemed to work for many people. I pulled the trigger and the camera arrived shortly after.
It comes with a solar panel which has a long cord, a mount to attach it to a wall, and a strap to mount it to a tree or something similar. Additionally, I found that it comes with a 32 gig microSD card which I wasn’t expecting. At first I thought I received a used camera and someone left their card in it accidentally, but I believe it does come with the camera for local recording.
After I received the camera, I took it to T-mobile and picked up a SIM card. The sales people hadn’t come across this before so it was new to them. I then asked to sign up for their $15/month 2.5 gig plan. I signed up and was out the door for $26 bucks. I went home and went through the steps of setting it up on my iPhone and it worked! I installed...
