DogLover: When I received my safe, it was exactly what I wanted. A perfect size, very convenient, and the design showed that someone had put a lot of time and effort into studying the ergonomics. However, the keys sent with the safe were the wrong set. I contacted Customer Service and they immediately sent me a new set of keys, but it turned out that the safe was defective and the keys simply wouldn't open it. And so, Customer Service immediately sent me a replacement safe at no charge. I was very impressed at how fast they responded. The defective safe was an anomaly, definitely not typical for the product. The replacement safe is simply wonderful! The finger pad is designed to make it easy and fast to open by touch alone. The battery compartment inside the safe is easy to access and it takes standard AA batteries (included). It was trivial to program in my code. When the code is entered, the door opens and swings down very fast allowing immediate access to the contents. Even a cursory inspection of the safe reveals how well it is made. It's extremely solid, well designed, and has a very professional look to it. Quite frankly, given its low price, I was surprised at how well made it is....

groberts1998: ****UPDATE**** I was finally contacted by this seller and they did make this correct and offered a replacement or a refund. Of course this is the hallmark ad a good seller, a seller that will back their product. I can say without a doubt, this seller backs the product and I am now a satisfied customer and I would recommend this seller for sure.

Previous review: Unfortunately this unit only lasted about two months and now the system won’t unlatch and can only be opened by the key. I replaced batteries and reprogrammed it multiple times but it will not electronically unlatch. The card insert instructed that I should contact them by email if I have a problem and before I leave an Amazon review. Well, I emailed two times and I received no response. So it looks like customer service is not good along with the inferior product. Here I sit with a unit that I might need to enter quickly and I have to get a hidden key to open the pistol safe. Ridiculous. Now I have to spend money to find and buy another pistol from someone who actually provides decent customer service. These guys won’t even return an email after weeks.

Josh: This product actually seems pretty well built for the price. solid neoprene lining on the bottom and door. Everything works as expected, including the tamper alarm. it is plenty spacious for even your largest handgun while leaving enough room to easily get your hand in to grab it with no sharp edges risking injury. arp edges to injure you. This fits my needs because I wanted to keep a loaded gun in a low shelf inside my night stand. It needed to be low profile and open in the front to fit in my night stand. It needed to allow quick access by by feel only, without the potential issues that fingerprint sensors can sometimes have. It will be great to keep the loaded gun safe from kids and prevent accidental discharge situations.

What this Safe will NOT do: Prevent theft from an even slightly determine thief. With any skill or experience I am sure there are ways to defeat the safe lock on site. This includes the barrel key which can be defeated without skill with simple cheap tools sold on Amazon. Also the safe is small and easily carried away. There are no mounting instructions so a person with no experience may find it difficult to find ways to mount it that cannot be easily...
