Lex: I have this light mounted on my E-mountain bike, it was easy to install, and in the short time I have had it installed it seems to work great. It is winter where I am, and dark by 17:30 so it was a very welcome addition to my bike. It seems to be a very solid piece and well made, I have not been able to test it's water proofing but I am sure it will hold just fine. I did experience an issue with shipping but the seller was able to get it sorted and made things right.

But I'm back to give my analysis of this latest incarnation and boy has it been an impressive product update.
The TL;DR; of it is that this new version is a beast of a success. It improves on almost every weak area of the previous version(s) and remains one of the best headlamps around that I would trust my cycling and life to (although I have tested few to compare against).
My main problems with the old models that now SEEM FIXED in the new are:
* Battery life / average duration of light provided per charge
* Fabric battery container sack and straps falling apart
* Weak wiring falling apart after a few years of use and needing re-soldered

I got the product less than a week ago. I expected to be able to use this for 2 different styles of riding on a bike 1) riding on the road to have a front flashing white light-red flasher in back was a good little freebie 2) riding off-road on mountain bike trails for night riding.
Details on how I set this up.
I fully charged the battery. That takes about 6 hours from when I unboxed the unit...yes, I did time it.
I hooked up the battery to see how bright it was. Seemed decent when I tried it at night.
I affixed it to my bike. The light mounting is with a more durable form of a rubber band and it didn't scratch my bike - that's a plus. The battery mount went on as expected and was easy enough to cinch down and capture all the wires.
My first ride, this was during the day -
I turned on the red tail light to the slow flashing. I turned on the white light fast flashing. I thought the flashing mode should outlast the always-on mode right?
40 minutes into my ride the front flashing light was out of juice. I was in traffic and wasn't...
