CAM: I bought this book more than a year ago when I was just beginning to acquire some meat goats. I read part of the book then but didn't understand it very well. This year, after my 3 nannies had 7 kids, I went back and read the book in more detail. I am amazed at the amount of information provided and the quality of the advice. I read different chapters multiple times, depending on the current relevant issue that needs to be addressed. I definitely recommend this book.

The 1: First I bought the Storeys guide to chickens. I found that one to be very thorough and detailed where it needs to be. I took a chance on the meat goat book and was a little disappointed. So much of this book focuses on the economics and marketing aspects. It wasn't the information I was needing from it. I felt like this book didn't really go in depth on any area and tried to provide as much basic info on too many topics.

Giancarlo Graniglia: Very informative. Very detailed. Thorough book. Some of the numbers and stats on the market are a bit outdated, but the most useful information is definitely worth reading.

Saskafudge: The Storey's Guide series is hands down the best reference material for new and experienced keepers. This book has everything, from breeds, care, health, breeding, and housing. If you're interested in meat goats, this is definitely a must have.
