user34025: This product worked ok for about 2 years (not heavy usage, maybe once or twice a month). Then it stopped producing steam. I followed the instructions to remove mineral build up and repeated several times using vinegar. It briefly worked again then stopped functioning altogether. I contacted the company as the product was still within the warranty period and was told because I am in Canada and purchased through a separate company (Northern Shipments, selling on Amazon) they were not responsible for fulfilling the warranty. I contacted Northern Shipments and was told they were also not responsible. I contacted Amazon who offered no further help. Ultimately this product is a waste of money.

JoshTheMo: The steamer looks good and heats up in a reasonable amount of time and seems to provide quite hot steam (not that I have been putting my hand in front of it). However, the power of the steam is much weaker than the steamer we had before. I find it much slower therefore to get wrinkles out of fabric. It functions, but I wouldn't likely buy it again.

LoriArtWorksLoriArtWorks: This heavy-duty Elite Garment Steamer by PurStream is my first ever garment steamer. I ordered it because my husband recently got promoted into a supervisor position that requires wearing a dress shirt and tie. After ordering him a supply of great dress shirts, ties, and dress slacks reality hit me. I was going to be responsible for the upkeep of his new clothing that required special care ... namely, ironing. Anyone who knows me knows that I'd rather scrub toilets than iron. Thank goodness I am gifted with a creative mind ... "Ah-ha!", I said to myself.. "I'll get a garment steamer." After researching online, Pursteam was my brandname of choice - both for quality and price.

The steamer arrived in a timely fashion and was adequately packaged, with in-box styrofoam, tape, and padding to keep the unit and accessories from shifting or getting bounced around and damaged during transit. Accessories and directions were included; directions were easy to understand, although one aspect had me doubting that I was putting the telescopic pole on correctly. There was much discussion in the comments section from various consumers that the pole would need to be held at a 45 degree angle...

Roma: After almost 9 years of daily use by the family our trusty steamer is almost on its last legs. It’s been so good that I am finally buying an exact replacement or maybe upgrade to the larger one. Regardless, this brand makes a genuinely quality product.

Disappointed with this steamer. The post does not stay on which makes it useless in hanging your clothes to steam. I dont understand why this feature was not tested properly. The device itself works ok when steaming ligthly wrinkled clothing, but on heavier clothing such as cotton or linen shirts it takes a long time for it to take out the wrinkles.

Pur Steam's customer service called me today and apologized for the problems encountered on the steamer's defective post. They are shipping a new one out to me today and it will be here this coming Monday. Mr. Ash, service customer rep/owner, also indicated that he will personally walked me through the installation of the replacement steamer to ensure that the post is working properly. The fact that the company cared enough about ensuring that their customers are satisfied with the product will make me change my review from one star to three stars. I...
