wanderer: TLDR: This is my third PurSteam steamer in (3) years. It seems they only last about (2) years.

I LOVE this steamer, until it dies for no apparent reason. I say this because - being my third steamer in 6 years - I've learned what to do and what not to do.

The first PurSteam steamer I used every weekday and sometimes on the weekend. I used tap water and always left water in the reservoir. This steamer lasted approximately 10 months.

The second PurSteam steamer, again used every weekday and sometimes on the weekend. This time I used purified bottled water and left water in the reservoir. This steamer lasted just over 2 years, by 1 week. At this juncture, I was informed by the seller that I likely had mineral deposit buildup and have damaged the heating coil.

The third PurSteam steamer, again - used nearly every day of the year. I continue to use purified water but always drained the reservoir. In an effort to make this the last steamer I ever purchased, I also began de-scaling monthly. Yesterday my steamer worked perfectly. Quick to heat up, no sputtering.

This morning - in the wee hours before work - I turn on the steamer. The blue light...

Dallas: Worked great first month and a half and now steam stopped working. Contacted seller as still under warranty but not asked to return for them to take a look at or replaced. Very disappointed.

Brian H: Bought this to replace a Rowenta unit that finally died after 10 years. So far I like the design, but I do miss the foot pedal to turn it on. Upside is that this steamer has different settings so hopefully that will make up for the lack of pedal. Word to the wise to tighten the hose on the tank a little extra so water does not escape.

RAI: I purchased this steamer in 2019 but didn't start using it until about a year ago. And, rarely, then, but it was always plugged in ready to go. It worked fine but today, all-of-a-sudden it turned itself on and I was nowhere near it nor had I been all day. Once I heard it and tried turning it off with the knob - turning the knob made no difference - I could NOT make it turn off so I had to unplug it. Just a worry if it could happen when one is not home to witness such a thing.

WheelsCNP: After I had actually purchased this unit I noticed some of the comments about this unit. Some of them were actually a bit of a cause for concern for what exactly was going to be delivered! The end result - the unit arrived, it was actually packaged in three boxes, not two. It was a gift an the recipient is 'over the moon' on the features, how sturdy and yet super easy to move around. Or you can just hook the garment right on the unit. She just loves it! ❤

CYNTHIA WILSON: The media could not be loaded.  Let me start by saying I am the owner of One Sweet Day Events and one of my ultimate pet peeves at any event is to see wrinkles in my linens. Even when you rent freshly pressed linens from a company, there is still a chance that there will be some unsightly wrinkles in the fabric. I have been looking for a good steamer to take on-site with me in order to mitigate this situation. I needed a more viable solution to wrinkled table linens because sometimes you don't realize the wrinkles are there until the linen is already in place on the tables. I decided to give this steamer a try, simply based on the reviews that I read. Well the jury is in and, I have to say, I think this little guy is perfect for the job at hand! On arrival, I decided to test it out on a severely wrinkled polyester tablecloth that I found stuffed in a corner in my attic. I decided if it could fix that, then it could fix anything! I uploaded a short video clip of me simply draping the tablecloth across a chair and using the steamer throughout the extra wrinkled sections and, I must say, I AM IMPRESSED! Graham Longpre: We like this steamer. However to get shirts really well steamed...it takes both my wife and I. Otherwise, the steam power is excellent and the different settings really help. But remember, it takes two people about 5 to 10 minutes to steam each shirt. We had a hand held that we returned to Costco, so this one is definitely better than that.
