Make sure to choose Anthter for the best garment steamer experience.Donna: I purchased this steamer for a quick replacement for my Rowenta that finally died. So far it works well except it releases a lot of water on the fullest steam, so anything that's steamed I have to wait for it to air dry. The other issue I have is the length of the cord, it's not long enough. Either way it gets the job done, so its good value for the money.

Garrington, Esq.: My first steamer. Had friends rave about them so gave it a try.
Very easy to set up and use. Great for taking out some wrinkles, but don't expect it to perform like an iron. Quick and easy to take a pass on hung clothing.

Lawrence Ng: Totally worth it. Can’t believe it works so well, much better than an iron. Assembly is simple. Operation is intuitive. Steam is high power.

Don Lear: We have been using a garment steamer for many years as a family of four. My last steamer was a more expensive model from a different company and it was good. It did well for us for many years.
However, when it was time to replace it, we bought this one and while it didn't cost as much, I would say the quality is as good. But what's better is that it has a drainage hole so there is no water sitting in the device itself, which ultimately was the failure of the other steamer. There was so much mineral buildup over time that eventually I just couldn't vinegar it out. I prefer that this water canister is smaller which means that it's a smaller size steamer and fits better into my closet. There are these lovely little accessories such as the glove so that you don't burn your hand like who thought of that? It's so nice! There's also the clip that helps you to steam pleats on a pant or a shirt collar or the openings of a button shirt. The lower steam function of which there are two settings is plenty for all of our clothing steaming needs. Our old steamer needed to be on the highest setting to be as effective as this one is on the lower setting.
Overall, I'm a fan. I didn't...

Melissa McgowanMelissa Mcgowan: I bought this for the soul purpose of removing tint with a side effect of being able to de-wrinkle on dress shirts instead of the shower steam. It works great for removing tint, took all of 2-3 minutes of pulling this tint off this side door of a model x that’s been installed for 2-3 years in the Las Vegas heat, Pulled most of the tint adhesive off aswell, only minor scraping needed after the steam pull trick I heard about on YouTube video. Kinda wish the steam hose was longer for this application but it’s made for clothes not removing tint haha

Erin K: I bought this a couple months ago because I was tired of holding my heavy travel handheld steamer and refilling it all the time. I spent at least a couple hours trying to find the best floor garment steamer and landed on this one. I am very pleased with it. I use it at least once a week - it heats up really quickly, is easy to use with a very lightweight handle, and holds a lot of water. I really like the clips it includes to hold pants and such. Additionally, they have great customer service - I needed a part replacement (there was an error in what was shipped to me) and they shipped it out quickly and solved my problem. I recommend!

HammyBuys: I have mixed feelings about this because I think it's inaccurate to call it a pure steamer.
My previous steamer that was similar in dimension (but different brand) it sent out strong, hot steam. You held up the nozzle NEAR the fabric and you could see the wrinkles smooth away.
THIS steamer no matter how close or long I held it to the fabric, the wrinkles didn't really budge. Now if you TOUCH the metal face of the steamer head to the fabric and gently dragged it along, one pass was all you needed to get a perfect smoothing of the wrinkles. So this 'steamer' is more of like a soft-touch express IRON system to me, because it works best when in contact with the fabric, however light or brief.
This may not seem like much an issue but I have a cat, long hair, and whatever. My fabrics, esp the comforters, have dust and fur and occasional hair on them. It took only a few drags of the steam head before it accumulated gross wet lint. I guess I could avoid this by lint-rolling any item before I steam-ironed it, but that's a hassle esp because I didn't have to do this with my previous 'true' steamer.
So I'm mixed. I'll keep it because I threw out the box and also...

Humble Opinion: I'm looking to replace my Rowenta upright garment steamer which lasted nearly 20 years. It was a gift from my mom so many moons ago, so unfortunately I can no longer find it on the market to compare specs or price. While there's no way for me to speak to the longevity of the Anthter 1500W steamer, it does feel sturdy and substantial at its base. It was easy to put together, though a bit cumbersome to move around. The hose, particularly, is extremely taught and I had to use a bit of effort to keep it where I wanted; unsure if that will be less so with use. The listing claims that it has a 2.5L water tank, though the enclosed instruction manual lists it as 2.0L. It looks pretty tiny to me, which was a concern since my previous steamer had a giant tank, but I kind of like it because it is easier to fill/manage. I have not yet noticed whether the water supply hinders its efficacy. The hanger has built-in clips, but nothing to hang your own hanger on, which I do not enjoy. The steam wand feels substantial and sturdy as well. There is a spigot on the back of the machine which you can remove for decalcification, which is a nice touch as I think my Rowenta kicked the bucket because I...
