NeverB4: This steamer works very well and is great for quick steaming before work. You know how it is - pull out your favorite shirt only to find it stayed in the dryer too long and is wrinkled a bit. Pull this steamer out, it warms up in about 2-3 minutes and you're ready to go. I steamed my entire short-sleeve work shirt in about 5 minutes without any issues. It heats up quickly and has a larger water basin than most units offered. I'm really enjoying this steamer.

Benjamin Swofford: I know this is a much more expensive model of steamer, but it is the only steamer you will need to buy. I have tried a few other steamers that were decent, but I wanted something more powerful. I have several items of clothing made of thick, heavy fabric. A standard steamer did not put out enough heat and steam to smooth the wrinkles. This Electrolux steamer is powerful. In fact, you have to be careful while using it as it can seriously burn you if not used properly. One of the two steam settings pushes out the steam with pressure enough to steam through most thick fabrics (like Duluth Firehose Pants). It works very well. I have owned this steamer for two months now and have used it a lot. I am very happy with the results it produces. My iron is getting lonely since I don't need it very much anymore.

J. Toops: I don’t know how I got to be half a century old without this. I freaking love this little steamer SO MUCH.

There is nothing worse than buying a cute blouse or dress made of synthetic material, taking pains to hand wash and hang dry only to find that it looks worse than geriatric elephant skin… and you know you can’t use an iron because the fabric will melt or it’s got shirring that takes the skill of a full-time, professional laundress to work the wrinkles out.

This steamer can handle all of the above and more. It takes some patience (I am not patient at all) but the results are worth it 100%.

The only con is that I had to keep refilling the reservoir because I had so many wrinkles clothes … and the reservoir isn’t big. Still worth it!

Please don’t sit on the fence like I did for soooo long. It’s worth every penny.

D. M. Dunn: On a recent vacation, the Conair steamer was provided by our hotel. I loved it and decided to order one, but after seeing the excellent reviews for the Electrolux Handheld Steamer, I ordered them both and compared them side-by-side. Here are the results:

Overall winner: It depends on what is important to you, but I'll be keeping the Conair.

Packaging winner: Conair
Conair came in minimal packaging straight from Amazon without an additional box.
Electrolux came in a "keepsake" box inside another Amazon box. There is no need for the extra packaging. I know the "keepsake" box is important to some people, but I have no idea why. It just becomes more trash.

Appearance/size/balance winner: Electrolux
The Electrolux is beautiful to look at, feels very good in the hand, has a lower center of gravity than the Conair so it is not as top heavy, and is shorter, making it easier to store. One downside of the Electrolux design is that your hand can slide up and touch the steamer area, which gets very hot to the touch.

Steam settings winner: Conair
Conair has 5 steam settings. You may not need all these settings, but there is a nice range to accomodate...

Amazon Customer: The product came in a fancy box as others stated. However, based on the cheaply made information manual (only in English and didn’t explain all the buttons), and grammatical errors throughout, I think erhaps the steamer is Electrolux and the manual is counterfeit … or the steamer is a nice quality knockoff of Electrolux. Regardless, it does the job but I’m wondering if I paid for the peace of mind I get with the Electrolux brand of products and got something else. But, 20 min of steaming and it does what it’s supposed to. We will see how it lasts.
