Get your pet the gift of clean, filtered water with the PetSafe Seaside Stainless Pet Fountain.D. T: Our three cats love this water dish. They aren't bothered by the noisy pump, but we are. When the water level starts to dip, it gets even noisier too. Other than that, it's very easy to clean, being stainless steel, and the parts for it, such as filters, are readily available from a number of third-party sellers for a very reasonable price. Overall, this is the second pet water fountain we've bought from this manufacturer and they've both worked very well. The first one we got was ceramic and we dropped it and it broke. Our fault there. Would 100% buy from this manufacturer again. I feel this is a quality brand to get behind for a good price and excellent quality.

Jordan Peck: Overall smart design, but it does require frequent cleaning. In our case we clean it every 3-4 days. The carbon filter seems to get a little slimy, so we disassemble the whole assembly every few days for a hot water wash with soap (no soap on the carbon filter itself). Our bunnies tend to drop hay into it, which may effect cleaning frequency. The weakness is the cord, so we covered it in thick plastic cable loom that our buns don't like to chew on. We like that this model is lower than many others so it's convenient for our small pets. Don't forget to order replacement filters.

DJ MackDJ Mack: Luckily my dog and cat ARE drinking from the fountain, as expected it took them a minute. I like the convenience of not having to fill water bowls numerous times a day, although I am dumping this every other day (in my garden) and refreshing the water because hair and leaves and stuff are left floating around in the water. I'm not totally disappointed with this, however...
My biggest issue with the fountain is the SHAPE. I didn't even consider this when I got it. Maybe I thought the cat would drink from the top where the water bubbles out, but she doesn't. The photo is the first time she drank from the fountain, and I assumed all was good. But now every time she goes back, because she drinks from the side, the side of her face is all wet after drinking because of the center part where the water trickles down. Obviously, she gets too close. I try to keep the water to the "Max" line so she's not placing her head too far down, but that doesn't matter. And my dog does the same. Her face doesn't end up all wet, but I get water on the floor where she's drank from because she hasn't figured it all out yet.
Which brings up a small issue I had with the fountain, being placed...

S Ravello: I really like this one. I was previously using the catit fountain (with the flower) for a few years. I decided to go stainless because my cat keeps getting cat acne on his chin. It took the cats a bit to get used to but they both use out now no problems. I also like that I can just throw it in the dishwasher to wash. The plastic catit one would take on the detergent smell so I always hand washed it but this one is great 👍

Amazon Customer: The media could not be loaded. I waited until I had it for a few weeks to review. I bought this one in particular because my cat took apart the Catit flower one every day and warped my hardwood floors when the water would flood out. This one looked industrial and there weren’t any pieces he could really grab onto. So far so good!
It is quiet; it has a low motor sound and kind of a slight babbling brook quality to it which I don’t mind especially since it’s in our kitchen.
You do need to replace two filters which I found kind of odd. From what I can tell, you replace the more expensive filter once a month and the cheaper one every two weeks.

Jozef GarciaJozef Garcia: To preface, I previously owned a Petsafe fountain that was made of grey plastic and over two years the plastic started to deteriorate and was just a pain to clean, because of the pipe system.
Now on with the review! The seaside stainless steel is simple to assemble out of the box and whisper quite. Since I've owned a previous Petsafe fountain all the replaceable items (charcoal filter, debris filter and water pump) can be used with this model as well. There are no pipes under the protruding spout. in fact, I was surprised to find that the spout connects directly to the charcoal filter housing. Simple! What's also simple is cleaning the unit just requires washing the base and spout. I love it, my cats love it. it's also not bad to look at. I would highly suggest getting the stainless steel fountain line from Petsafe.

A. M.: The unit is very quiet, a clear advantage over similarly priced water fountains.
It needs cleaning every few weeks and I find it hard to properly clean in all the corners of the pump, it should come with a very small brush.

apanda: My cat LOVES this thing! I bought this specifically for when we were on a trip out of town for a week because her water bowl ends up with a layer of fur floating in it and any food she accidentally flings into the bowl while eating. When we're home we sometimes have to dump out and refill her water two times per day, but our pet sitter was only coming to care for her once per day so I figured at least a fountain would constantly be running and filtering the water so she'd constantly have clean water. We set it up the night before our flight and she was very curious and intrigued by the water and light reflections, wanted to paw at it, and it did make her want to drink water but for a few days she would check out the water fountain and then go over to her regular water bowl to drink water from that instead. After a few days, we kept catching her on our pet cams drinking from it. She drank at least a couple of times per day with her regular water bowl, but would sometimes have long bouts where she would ignore it. She has consistently been drinking much more water from the fountain than she ever did with her normal bowl. I had been planning on disassembling and storing it while we...

Michael: I really am happy with this water dish. If the power goes out the cats can still get to the water. My other one this replaces . Only had a small amount of water on top, when it when it went out to drink.
