Dan Nourse: I like the individual finger springs.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: I've been using these products for a long time, first hearing about them in about 2011. They are great for training grip because you can build resistance on individual fingers. After a long time of using them, I went up from 9 lbs per finger to 11 lbs per finger, and then 13 lbs per finger. I was able to do a pullup on the doorframe.
Now, it's been a while so my finger strength has weakened. But I have decided to start training on these again. I highly recommend these and it would be great if they could make some stuff beyond the 13 lbs per finger, but I will have to use the 11 lbs per finger one for a while first.

Amazon Customer: I like the fact that you can use it to exercise individual fingers and whole hand at the same time. Only complaint is that I wish it was more ergonomic to hold

D. Markham: First, the pros
1) The pro versions are well built
2) You can use them for both crude total grip development, or to target specific fingers
Cons (this is aimed to be constructive critique from a pianist pov).
1) When working on the fingers, the thumb grip is also on springs, so that your palm (bit of the hand your thumb connects to) depresses unequally across from the finger you're flexing. Thus actually reduces the amount of work that the finger is doing. However, it does presumably have more impact on stabiliser muscles. I would say, it would be even better if I had a switch that could lock the thumb side springs.
2) It is not really possible to operate the thumb flexion close enough in biomechanics to how you flex the thumb on the piano. I'd say, it's more useful for the fingers.
3) The only way I can more accurately simulate a piano is to lock two of these in a vice, so that I can press the 'keys' with relevant technique similar to the piano technique. It would be great if a version was produced for this purpose with an extra key on each hand for the thumb. The vice unit should be sold separate, so the devices can be changed out for one with...

* extra-leicht - x-light - GELB
* leicht - light - BLAU
* mittel - medium - ROT

Buyer: I bought two sets that included 4 PROHANDS Pro exercisers. The pinky button on one of the medium exercisers was sticking and not fully depressing. I contacted the vendor who responded immediately confirming they would send a replacement. Not only did I get a replacement but it came along with a personalized, hand-written note! Incredible customer service! They stand behind their product and care about customer relationships!
BTW, the exercisers are exactly what I am looking for. They fit comfortably in my hand and the rubber padding definitely be other products that are just hard plastic. Definitely would recommend these.
