Mr Generic: We bought this electric frying pan because our induction burner did not have consistent heat. I've used this skillet in the US and it's great. The problem is with the included transformer. The skillet is made for 110V and pulls 1000W - here in India, the electricity is 220V - so you need a step down converter. The seller included one and insisted it be used - however - it was for 100W and burned up after a couple of uses. We ended up buying a 1500W transformer that is bigger than the skillet. I would not have purchased if I had known. If you're in a country that has 220V and you don't already have a step down converter in your kitchen - look elsewhere.

John In NC: This little electric skillet is perfection when preparing a meal for one or two people. I have been purchasing and using Presto small appliances for many decades, and this skillet met my expectations for functionality, quality, and value. But, I feel compelled to offer a warning related to the safe use of this skillet. If you are not careful and attentive, you may accidentally slide the skillet off the edge of your countertop, possibly resulting in severe burns. You see, there is no "grippy" material on the bottom of the legs that support the skillet. And because the legs are made of some sort of hard plastic material, the skillet will slide easily on your countertop. As you stir and flip food in the skillet during preparation, you will find that the unit can easily slide across your countertop. If you should be unfortunate enough to have the skillet too close to the edge of your counter, you could mistakenly slide it off the edge as you are stirring or flipping the food you are cooking. I highly recommend this little gem, but awareness is needed to operate it safely.
