Hilda LauHilda Lau: Just finished cooking in it dirty don't judge me.. lol...This product is amazing. Cooks great wished it had a low med high button and a handle. But I figured out you can cut on and off to control the amount of heat coming through. Gets really hot. Meats veggies even Ramon can be cooked on it. Easy clean up. An electric frying pan is perfect. I got the red one. very light weight as well.

Denice: I was really excited about getting this. I should have done more research before getting this.

Pros: it’s small, cooks evenly, and is easy to clean.
Cons: only has 1 setting, surface area is pretty small. Gets hot on the outside of the unit.

This will work great if I’m making something small like eggs or cooking a 3-4 slices of bacon. This only has on/off so if there is too much heat, you have to turn it off. I’ve also noticed that after cooking for a few minutes and it starts to get hot, the temperature will drop, so much that I have to check the switch to make sure I didn’t turn flick it off. This also gets really hot on the outside so if you’re looking for cool touch, this is not it. It’s also awkward to handle when done cooking. There isn’t a handle so you have to put on a mitt or glove to be able to pick the unit up or hold the unit while cooking.

I wish it were deeper also. I was hoping to warm up soup but that won’t be possible.

Next time I will do more research and buy a tad bigger unit.

George: A co-worker of mine has been using a skillet to heat their lunch as a healthy alternative to the microwave. I decided to join them and purchased this round hot plate. It seems to be a good size for one average meal portion but being shallow it is better for bigger items like meat and vegetables, rather than rice dishes although if you are careful then it won't be a problem. I measured the liquid volume, and it is maximum 2 cups so not ideal for soups but if you bring another pot you can heat the soup pot on the hot plate :) There is no temperature control which is the only drawback but i let this get hot and it didn't burn my food but I was stirring regularly.
I also like that the red plastic shell better protects you from burns than the skillet does. Overall, its a win and will get regular use. Easy clean too as others have said.
