CTReader: I found this steamer useless, barely any steam. Definitely not enough to get rid of wrinkles. It was also bulky in a suitcase. I get better results from a small water sprayer.

PJR: Excellent for travel! Doesn't take up much room and even folds the handle in. I was impressed. Really needed something that was dual voltage and this worked perfectly. Can't recommend enough!

This steamer is very lightweight, effective, and heats up super quickly in the UK. Like all my dual voltage appliances, this takes longer to heat up in the USA than in the UK. But that’s not the fault of the appliance. The handle is sturdy when in use but collapses with the press of a button.

Yes, the area you can steam with one pass is rather small, but I’ve been doing just one athleisure polo or long sleeve SPF shirt each morning. So my garments have only been thin ones. I don’t know how well this would work on cotton, but I almost never wear cotton garments anymore, so it’s not an issue for me.

Of course, because it’s small, you really can only do 1-2 lightweight articles of clothing before you need to refill the water reservoir. To do that, you need to let it cool down (or use a very think oven mitt?) so you can remove the top to get to the reservoir.

N Wint: Honestly I was suspicious about this steamer but travelling in summer with a lot of linen articles I really need help. I tried it and it WORKED beautifully. My linen skirts and dresses are back, and I did not feel wrinkled on me. It was almost perfection but we must let the item a short time to settle before wearing it otherwise it will be wrinkle faster. Easy to pack in suitcase and easy to use with any European AC adapter. I am so happy I did try and it was so successful.

Kindle Customer: It’s ok, but not as good as my old one which was discontinued. It does the trick in Canada, but haven’t been overseas with it. I bought this one because I fried my other one while in Croatia. Hence why I bought a dual voltage this time. My old one had a power switch, heated up in 20 sec, and was so powerful. This one has no power switch, heats up in about a min or just under, and isn’t very powerful. It took me about 2 mins to steam a shirt. So it’s not terrible; it works. It’s just hard to measure up to my old one. Hoping to have the same luck w others who’ve taken this steamer overseas.

ssmonroe: We are about to embark on a European trip and wanted a portable steamer. When you are limited by weight, you quickly discover that "smaller-is-better". I purchased the Samsonite and the Conair at the same time to evaluate them both. No question the Samsonite is smaller and lighter - but only marginally so. I pulled a cotton shirt - fresh out of the dryer and wrinkled, and experimented. They did indeed both work. The Samsonite took a bit longer to heat up - minute or so - and put out steam that you could not hold your hand against to the tune of about 3 inches. The Conair heated up much faster and put out steam that you could not hold your hand against to about 4-5 inches. The Conair just gets hotter faster. As the Samsonite moved on, the steam got a bit less and less. Before it was empty, it was not putting out much steam at all - and not enough to "iron" a shirt. You would have had to refill the Samsonite (refilling not a problem with either machine) to get enough proper steam to finish the shirt completely - but no question it will do the job.

The Conair is a bit larger, and perhaps a tad bit heavier - but again - not appreciably so. The Conair heated very quickly and put...
