PLUSINNO 5.1:1 to 5.7:1 High Speed Spinning Fishing Reel

Karen: Reel is slightly large and heavy for ultra light fishing, but not unmanageable. Casting and retrieval is very smooth. If I had been paying full price, I would have gone with the smaller reel as all I do is panfish (bobber and worm). But I would buy again for the price I paid. Durability is unknown...will know after a couple of seasons.

DV: Nice smooth reel, good weight. after three trips with it i notice a metal on metal sound while retrieving , but it might just need reel magic or lube since i was in the rain on my second trip. durability is fine, I'm not harsh on my gear, but it pulled a couple 2.5lbs max and lighter clean out the drink with ease. Overall 4 stars so far. color scheme is pretty neat to boot.

StatsStats: The media could not be loaded.  Recently ended up getting my fishing license and got to bring out this real to the nearby lake to try to catch some crappie. Setting up this real was very easy (easier than my last reel but that might be because of experience?) and easily attached to my Plusinno rod.

This reel performed smoothly when casting and reeling in was extremely easy. If you're not use to reals with an adjustable handle, the foldable/adjustable handle may be a bit of a surprise. Thankfully, it comes second nature quickly.

Overall, I had a very pleasant experience with this real and I would buy another one if I ended up getting a second rod. Excellent experience even if there was no crappie caught that day. lol

janzgar: Great reel for the money, you can't beat the value at this price point! Very smooth and pretty light, good metal construction where it counts...wish the handle was metal also, but it just might last if you don't drop it directly on the handle, on a rock or pavement.

The only real CON is the bail came extremely stiff when I got it, I read that much in some of the reviews, I mean stiff, you couldn't use the auto-bail in fear that you would break the handle or reel! However I knew that a little silicone spray would fix that, and it did! Now the bail snap closed smoothly with little effort! Quality Control should get on that and fix it. It would save them a lot of time and money I would imagine with returns, interactions with customer service, etc.

This is a great beginner's reel, fresh or salt water and at this price point you won't necessarily need anger management when someone steals it, while you're distracted by these damn TikTok booty pants! man, I hope that thieve is enjoying my Shimano...NOT.

I would highly recommend these reels to anyone...hey, now even thieves can afford their own.

ErikErik: I ended up with the 4000 model even though I only really wanted the 3000, but kept it anyways. I am somewhat skeptical when it comes to reels under $30, but I have a few that I use as beater reels on some travel or trunk of the car rods. This reel is a really good value, and performs better than most reels in its price range. It is smooth but has a harder start, but that is probably due to the fact that the line retrieval is fast and works well. I paired it with a 5'8 jig rod I had and it worked well. I had no issues with it whatsoever and the spool grip for braided line is extra wide which I appreciate. I would say that on a 4000 it may work better for spinner or crank baits, but it did its job well. I disassembled it after use as well, there is not any oil or grease on it (at least the one that came to me) So I will take it out again after slightly lubricating it and see that improves the performance any.
I would highly recommend this reel as a tough and well performing budget reel. The bang for your buck is totally worth it.
