Plano Small Ammo Field Box in Olive Drab Green

Mr T.Mr T.: This is the 5th identical box I've purchased, love them! Use all to store my ammo. Using for years stored in a closet and no issues with damp or anything. I do throw in sillica packets on top before storing to keep everything extra dry. Saw someone posted that this only fit 175 rounds (7 boxes of 25) 12 gauge ammo, so wanted to set the record straight this holds 250 if stored properly.

QBZ: It is a lot bigger than I expected and it's very sturdy. It took 900 rounds of ak ammo and it's got almost half the space still left. I would get it could hold almost close to 1700 - 2000 rounds of ak ammo. This is huge for the money. ANNNND the sticker stays in one piece when you peel it! You can actually peel it off!

LostinLA: I bought a couple of these cases a while back -- one for ammo that I take to the range and another for a first aid kit.

I lOVE them. Lightweight, durable, good seals, and the best storage capacity for the dollar (I looked at a bunch of them on Amazon).

I was a little concerned about filling it up with ammo (which is heavy), but no worries - the latch and handle are sturdy and feel like they would be fine with twice the load.

Highly recommend!

Amazon Customer: Bought four of these and very happy with them. I can fit 19 boxes of 9mm and a 100 gram silica pack in one can. Handles seem sturdy, well made. Latching mechanism is tight. They are stackable which makes storage easier and more efficient. Even though the cans have an O ring seal I recommend using a silica pack as extra moisture protection, especially if storing in a basement. I include a 100 gram silica pack in each can and they do pick up moisture.

Overall very happy, would recommend and buy again if needed.

mattmkett: I use this box to store computer case fans and connectors. I case seems fairly sturdy for lightweight items, but if anyone that buys ammo and shoots regularly knows that ammo is heavy! You might get away with storing 22 cal rim fire or smaller calibers, but I would avoid larger caliber ammo as these tend to be much heavier and I doubt the latch it has will hold up for long periods or repeated use. I know some companies make a polymer style ammo can, similar to a pelican case, those would likely hold up to repeater use and abuse, but they are expensive. I would advise buying and using military grade ammo boxes. These are all metal and have a latch system that will hold up to years of repeated use. Anyhow, I'm done rambling, great box for lightweight items, not so great for heavy items like ammo. Just don't trust this type of plastic to hold up.
