It's one of the most economical AA battery storage solutions, and it's clear that thought was put into the features. It latches positively, it has a non-textured, flat surface on top which is great for labels, and the boxes have interlocking features so that they stack securely.

René Kåbis: I had hit a YouTube video talking about using these ammo boxes as battery holders, and man, the hype around it was 100% correct. This particular ammo box works PERFECTLY as an AA battery holder! I would honestly recommend that the manufacturer expand their marketing of this specific unit to that end as well.

OptiblueOptiblue: Meant for hunting bullets, good enough for batteries! Fits my AA perfectly and enough height for C cells on its side. It does fit AAA, but if you invert the box, they will all fall out. You can tape a little spacer inside to prevent that though! Credit goes to a guy on YouTube who thought of this!
Love how the lid is hinged and not just bent plastic!

SeauloneSeaulone: Purchased this after looking at some ways to store AA batteries. (MAKE SURE IT IS THE RSLD-50 version!) The AAs fit very well in there - there is the tiniest room for wobbling side to side and when closed there is about a 1cm gap from the top of the box to the batteries so there is room for them to move about up and down. However, this box obviously wasn't designed for carrying these and there are no other in the MTM range which are lower in height. The plastic is of superb quality and from my initial handling of it I would tend to agree; quote (with corrections) from their website;
