Morty: Sorry guys but this box does not work for .22LR ammo and I purchased two to my regret. I love MTM products but alas this one falls short on delivery in use. When used with .22LR ammo they rattle around too much and when loaded case down you cant pick up the slippery bullet end and when loaded bullet down they are too loose in the cells and fall out easily spilling them on the floor when opening the case.
These are a waste of my money, but they may work for you.

Amazon Customer: This is a much better way to store your 22lr than the usual flimsy cardboard or brittle plastic boxes from the store. I use a piece of painters tape to label what's in the box. My only complaint is Amazon has almost tripled the price in the last two weeks. Other online retailers are still at $3.79 instead of over $9. Great product, but purchase elsewhere.

chipko: Not having an FAC this box was easy to Dymo-label with my name and a bright sticker for storage in the club ammunition safe amidst a raft of same-looking cardboard boxes with initials scribbled on them. Holds 100 rounds of .22LR so I can buy 2 boxes of 50 at a time and not faff about with small change. Rounds go in brass-down and are easy to extract from the box. Secure lid means no spills.
