Michael O: I have a number of different MTM ammo cans of different sizes. Out of all the sizes, I think this one makes the most sense. It has a nice and manageable footprint that is not too tall and grooves on top to make stacking easy. It's not so large that moving it full of ammo becomes a chore but it's not so small that you end up storing more containers than ammo in a given space (by volume). I use these to also store electronics when traveling to keep them dry and even used one to make a ham radio "go box". I still like the regular 50-cal steel cans the most but the width of these gives you a lot more flexibility in certain applications. Overall this is a decent ammo can if weight and size are a concern.

Rick: Fits in a small car for emergency equipment. IE jumper cables and road side car care. Would recommend Velcro for the bottom it will slide around in the trunk. (Minor detail) Still great size.

Ben: Heavy duty plastic. Filled mine with 15 boxes of 3” 12 steel shot. Some room to spare for loose shells. Can handle it easy. Handles don’t bend. No sharp edges on the fingers. Locking capability. And a fair price overall compared to the garbage from C-Tire. Good stuff.
