Amazon Customer: Nice flavor, not terribly thick but also not a thin cut. Makes a solid slice for sandwiches. A little on the fattier side but it crisps up nicely and not rubbery.

feathered_head: Wow -- I found this amazing bacon just yesterday. The trick to cooking these extra long strips perfectly is to ditch the frying pan. Instead, lay them on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake at 350 turning occasionally as needed. They will shrink up to just the right length without curling, leaving them flat, the meat tender and the fat crispy without burning or getting brittle. There is no foam or gristle -- and thank goodness, not too salty, and no overly smoked flavor to distract from the pure delicious taste of the bacon. I hope this positive review alerts Amazon Fresh to please keep carrying it!

femgeek: Like other reviewers, I was skeptical about this bacon, especially given the above-average price, but I bought it based on the reviews and because Amazon Fresh doesn't seem to offer any center-cut bacon. After receiving it, thought it looked very fatty, and cooked up just 3 slices in the oven.

But oh, is it good! Somehow those slices cook up nice and meaty despite how they appear uncooked, and the taste is excellent (very, ahem, bacon-y.) Shrinkage was minimal, and there was no sign of high water content.

In contrast with another reviewer, the package I received was all full-length thick slices with no shreds or pieces. And while I don't usually like the taste or cooked appearance of uncured bacon, in this case the final results are as good as any bacon I've ever tried.

Tricia: Another Pat LaFrieda favorite! I have been sampling their products since I have been ordering through Amazon Fresh. Every thing I have tried has been wonderful. So far my favorite is the NY Strip steak.

When I first received the bacon I thought it looked a little fatty. However, when I opened the package it was absolutely beautiful. While cooking I didn't experience any problems with popping and cracking from water being cooked out of the bacon. It cooked up beautifully.

For me, the flavor is on the mild side, but I love it. It is not so salty that it burns my tongue! ... and I like that.

I'm going to get some more for the freezer, get some good bread ... and make some good BLT's ... not to mention using it to season some black eyed peas.

It is nice to finally find some good quality meats that you can depend on.

NonoNono: Omgosh the bacon is delish and had the house smelling like I had just cooked a 5 star gourmet meal for dinner. The bacon is thick with a smoky taste and smell and I want to say little bit of apple-wood imo, lean but not to lean still had some fat and not salty at all. Great taste and leaves you wanting more but you only get 5 pieces. I gave the bacon four starts because it was only 5 pieces in the wrap.
