MrD: Really good with the small circuits. I am buying another sturdy model also, they are really nice if cleaned from factory burrs and greased and go very well with Quadhands base which I just purchased

Daniel: YOU'VE FOUND THE ONE. YOU CAN STOP LOOKING FOR THINGS TO HOLD YOUR PCBs. You’ve tried the flimsy alligator clips. You’re tired of your work moving and uttering **** like every time you solder. Don’t buy another one of those things. The more expensive ones suck just as much as the cheaper ones. THIS, with the base and all, is of top tier quality and utility. It doesn’t move around on the workbench because it’s so dang heavy. It’s so fast to get the PCB exactly where you want it at the angle you want it. And it stays there. Like really stays there until you loosen something on the vise. One of my favorite things about this is that you can flip the PCB without having to take it out of the vise, so I can do a quick flip to look at the other side, then flip it back over to continue my work. Yes, as other reviewers have mentioned, it does take what seems like a million turns to make large width adjustments, but however long that takes, the alligator clips take double the time in finagling. This is a purchase you will not regret. Go ahead– Add to cart.

Lee: Great attachment for the PanaVise system! Securely holds small circuit boards, connectors and many non-electronics/electrical related items such as fishing lures, arts & crafts.

Mike D.: I was rather disappointed with this vice after hearing all the rave reviews and popularity of PanaVise. I guess my expectations were a little high and I was expecting something of a more precision build quality. It works fine for my needs but it just seems poorly made for the price.

jamesHOEHNjr: Simple, intuitive small project vise. Gentle plastic jaws with perpendicular grooves open to 2.875 inch, perfect for capturing small circuit boards or otherwise without walkout. This was designed as an accessory for 300 Series bases, but is also interchangeable with 200 Series bases by removing vise head ball from pivot clamp.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: I ordered a panavise 350 and love it! I ordered this pv jr. head as I do work on smaller circuit boards and I thought it would be better suited to those tasks. Upon receiving it, I noticed there was no paper work and the box was not taped or anything like that so who knows if it should even come with paperwork. I attached it to my 350 base and put some circuit boards on it and yes I can say I love it! BUT...…… drum roll...….Upon using it for a week, I noticed the knob to adjust the jaws did not spin straight but rather the knob wobbles much like a unbalanced tire on a car? I thought I could ignore this but then thought, heck I spent good money for this "American Made" product, so give me an "American Made" product! I contacted Amazon customer service and they issued a replacement for me right away! Great service on their part! My advise to Panavise?...………..Improve your terrible QC before shipping out a product you claim is "American Made"...……..what a joke!! I would not be surprised if it's actually made in China! Lets hope the second one is better! When ordering, you may want to contact Amazon and advise them to check the order before it leaves their facility as I...

Nasty Crotch: I was a little worried about the type of plastic used on the jaws, and the quality/design of the ball & socket. However, after receiving this, I was blown away. There are sleeve bearings everywhere and the plastic is NOT cheap, it's some kind of rigid composite totally appropriate for this application (i.e. it's a small-stuff "holder" not a "crusher"). There are little friction-fingers inside the ball-socket, and the ball is powder-coated steel. The out-of-the-box action was fairly smooth, though I did add a bit of dry graphite lube to the moving parts and threads. Totally worth the premium price, you really are getting what you pay for.

romwyzard: The 203 head is sturdy and DEFINATELY NOT FLIMSY! I use this on my soldering station work center (324) about 90% of the time. I can't praise it enough. It makes a great 3rd hand for soldering and prototyping small circuit boards (and breadboards).

My only gripe is that you have to buy the PV Jr. Speed Control separately (model 239). The speed control is a much better tightening mechanism than what comes with the 203 and really speeds up opening and closing the jaws.

The old saying "you get what you pay for" comes to mind when describing Panavise products. They may cost a little more than what one might expect to pay for the cheap-made-in-China crap foisted upon the average consumer but they come with a lifetime warranty and are definately high quality tools.

I'm just mad that I didn't find out about Panavise sooner. All my other 3rd hand tools are going in the garbage!
