OXO Steel Winged Corkscrew with Removable Foil Cutter for Easy Wine Bottle Opening

Susan466: Works well and is very well made. There are 2 minor cons. This replaced an older version I had for many years that "disappeared". I liked that one better. On the earlier version I could simply unwind the screw and the cork fell off. This one you have to stick 2 fingers up there, grab the cork and hold while you unwind. It's a little tight. #2 is the stand (cutter) as it has to stand somewhere. I don't' want it on a counter so stand it inside a cabinet. The original had the cutter on the top handle (no base) and could easily lay in a silverware drawer. If you use it a lot I guess it's not a problem.

JuJu: Opens bottles fast and with little effort. The foil cutter works well and is handily stored. I rated this a four because once the cork is out, it’s very difficult to get it off the corkscrew due to the long sides which prohibit getting fingers high enough on the cork to get a solid grip. I used a pair of pliers. Otherwise, works well.

Gary: Opens wine bottles with ease and does not ruin corks which for me is important as I am collecting them. To remove corks from the opener once the bottle is open simply screw in reverse and it pops out.

Kris Lee: Overall design is good and Metal wings are good. But, the body itself is made of cheap plastic. I don’t think it’s going to last long.

Jen W.: Maybe it's my lack of experience with this style of corkscrew...(or maybe it's the wine!)...but this has to be the largest corkscrew of this variety I've ever used! You have to be careful when you screw into the cork that you don't go too far down below the cork or it may be hard to remove the cork from this gadget once you've opened the bottle! Other than that, works as expected.
