Kindle Customer: I have not been a big fan of the wing type cork screws as every one I bought in the past were made of flimsy metal that broke easy. I've had ones that broke the first time I used them. This Bellemain is definitely not in that group. This is definitely a heavy duty cork screw. I could tell the first time I used it it is of solid construction. Cork screw went in easy. It provided good leverage to smoothly and easily extract the cork. The wings and screw handle fold together to make removing the cork from the screw an easy task as well. Great solid design that seems built to last. Like the lifetime warranty, too. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a quality cork screw.

Tony R.: I didn't think it would be difficult to find a reliable, heavy-duty wine bottle opener for a reasonable price. But I can assure you it has been. Previously, I ordered a similar opener for about $8 thinking it was an item I would only use occasionally. But for that cheap price I got exactly what I paid for-a cheap opener. It broke after the second use of it. Reluctantly, I ordered another opener-this one-at roughly double the price. Trust me that in this case you get what you pay for. As soon as this opener arrived I knew it was high quality. At almost the same size as the previous cheaper model, this opener weighed more than double-about a pound and a half compared to the previous half pound of the other opener. That's an important fact as it relates to the stability, quality, and longevity of this opener. Made of much heavier zinc alloy compared to the tin of others I've bought, this sturdy opener made short work of a stuck cork. The heft of this product ensures proper leverage in removing corks. Kindle user: First of all, this corkscrew is heavy. It seems to be very strong and well-made. It is also very pretty. I am very happy to have it because I usually have a really hard time opening wine bottles. Usually my husband opens them for me, but he recently went overseas for several months, and I was stuck alone trying to open them on my own. Last week I wasn't able to get the cork out of a wine bottle at all with my other corkscrew. I nearly tore the cork to shreds and pulled and pulled but it was still stuck. I didn't have any other wine bottle that night so we had to do without altogether. That is why I ordered this one so that I wouldn't be stuck in that predicament again. When it came, I immediately tried the Bellemain corkscrew on the bottle whose cork I had demolished trying to remove it. The Bellemain opened it easily. I hope this is the end of my corkscrew problems. So glad to have this tool for the future!
